Agreed --- Missed one re-sale opportunity and have been stalking ever since for another!

I dare suggest trying a Nauti or nauti mini with BVC coils. That was the "clearo" that enabled me to switch from being mostly a carto tank vaper -- to a blister pack vaper. After you groove in on that, then a Kabuki would be in order. :) Amazingly, many builders are coming back to the nauti with the Kabuki, or at least enjoying the convenience for part time.

If your unicorn is the "pro-vi cigalike" ---- give it a couple of years. Try some of that gum -- or similar --- helps on long plane flights!

-------------------
I think the Vixon LED's will either be random colors --luck of the draw, or all red. I'm hoping for blue or green as I have plenty of red. :)

And, Thanks TO. The Promotion worked --- Vixon will be getting some new liquid tasting customers, I'm sure.

I was tempted to get the Kabuki. I am going to use the Sophia to try my hand at rebuilding. If I find that rebuilding once every couple of weeks works for me I could go all rebuildable for my large units. I am taking baby steps on my Provari's.

Are you sure you aren't greedy? Most men would be happy with one large unit...

During my absence I forgot you had this dirty mind the comes out once in awhile. :)

I poked my head back into the forum because I couldn't get my favorite cartomiser and to see if my unicorn was closer to becoming a reality :p so I had forgotten a few things about this place.

The way qorax shows how to make a Sophia coil is the same way you make a horizontal single coil for any RBA.

I am a little different than some in here. I am trying to avoid becoming a collector or making it a hobby, I can see that it is easy to slip into the mode. I am actually trying to accumulate as little as possible without hurting convenience.

I am more of a quality reliability guy rather than latest and greatest but sometimes latest and greatest does fit life better.

I went to Sophia route because it does seem good enough to still have a lot of fans and takes me away from being cartomiser dependent without losing the ability to fall back on cartomisers to save time. The reason three Provari is really my limit is that many of them can keep me vaping uninterupted for a long time while working or doing what I like to.

The only reason I didn't go Kabuki is that I would again be dependent on buying coils (at least I think I would be), and I would be putting tanks in storage. I want to keep the number if items I have but don't use at a minimum.

My goal is to have three large units for more than 95% of my vaping and enough tiny hands free units to fill a shirt pocket. I will be latest and greatesting until something is good enough to make me happy than I will stick with it for a few years at least.

The Sophia V2 from reading comments about it seemed logical to me, I don't put tanks in storage. I can still have the ease of cartomizers or can rebuild using the same tanks. If the FDA makes supplies hard to get I am still functional. If I just want to plug and play there are still cartomizers.

I am in this to not smoke analogs, I don't want to change what I am using every few months, and I don't want to become a hoarder. I look like a hoarder when I was doing my search for the unicorn. I am really hoping the micro duo will be close enough to my unicorn that I can get by with it for several years until the technology progresses enough to get what I really want.

I'm sure you'll be more than happy with the Sophia V2. I've been using my V1's since Jan. 2014 without any problems. I've only had to change one of the rubber things, which yours won't have. I use all mine daily too. They have been the only atomizer I used until I got the Kabuki late last month. They are very well built.

There's always J-Wraps. Nothing says love like vinyl.

Really? The young guys in my office say nuttin says love like latex!? Go figger. Learn sumpin new every day!

For me Sir Rod, it's the ProVari 2.5 and a Kayfun ... the reason I don't even look for something that is better?

The number one thing to unseat the Kayfun for me ... it has to be something that will last forever ... and never cost money to fire it.

Number one for me ... is being able to enjoy exactly how I vape forever, even if everything was banned tomorrow.

I'm going to have enough BVC coils stockpiled to be able to make the same claim with my Radius/P3 and Kabuki's. Yes I am! And at the end of day my friend is to have that combination which makes vaping pleasurable for you. It really doesn't matter one iota what anyone else likes. No it doesn't!

How many BVC coils does it take to last a life time? Is there a rebuildable option for for the BVC coils?

In my case, I'm using a coil every 2 - 3 weeks so I'll need about 24 a year. If I live another 30 years I'll need about 720 coils. There are videos on how to rebuild them but to me it's not worth the time to rebuild them unless I have to. The point of the Kabuki is they are meant to be plug and play.

I stuck with cartotanks since they were plug and play and was keeping me off stinkies. 720 coils would be doable but does anyone want to store that much? If the FDA does not get it's way you might find you have coils you don't want. It's tough to make the best choice in this new environment.

I will kind of have plug and play ability and RBA ability without accumulating more hardware on my desk with the Sophia but the rave reviews I am seeing has me curious about the Kabuki.

I am afraid of getting into territory I am trying to avoid if I end up with multiple types of toppers.

I guess I should just wait and see what happens as are start rebuilding.

Just curious, is the rebuilding for the Kabuki more difficult than other rebuilds?

There are videos on how to rebuild Nautilus coils so they can be rebuilt. I don't think it's hard but you'll still have to keep a good stock of coils. The coils aren't really made to be rebuilt so the parts aren't made to last through several rebuilds.

The Kabuki isn't rebuildable, it takes Nautilus heads. I don't know if Nautilus heads can be rebuilt, but even if they could I doubt it would be worth the effort. I still have a jar of used Protank heads. Rebuilding them was supposedly going to save me money is the long run. Uh, no. My time is worth more than a replacement head.

ETA: Oops, beated. Susan says they can be rebuilt. Not on my planet.

So,...............
Not sure if this was mentioned yet..........
Has anyone seen twisted420's review on the Radius?

You're late to the party. Have a balloon. :)

Do a search on the Radius thread. Twisted even showed up to defend his right to make awful videos.

I've only watched the videos. I haven't tried it. It looks like WAY more work than rebuilding Protank coils. And all the videos I watched used juice to adhere the cotton to the coil. Not sure if I'd want to rebuild a bunch and have them sitting around with juice on them.
