I watched To Kill a Mockingbird on Netflix a couple of nights ago. Don't think I have seen it since high school in the mid 80's. I forgot how fantastic it is.

I decided to reread the book a couple weeks back as I am on a classic book kick as of late.

To say both the book and movie are well worth the time is an understatement.

Funny, but I have that on my nightstand. I started to read it, but soon discovered that I need a different version that has a bigger font. Such is age. I'm thinking of getting a Kindle - which distresses me, since I am a true book fiend. Every time I have moved to a new place, the first things I do are register to vote and get a library card.

I prefer my books to be between covers. I have a nook, and all I use it for is the internet. I hate reading on it.

I prefer paper, but my problem is that I read a lot. The sheer volume of physical books I have accumulated over the years is staggering. I have many bookshelves and dozens of Rubbermaid bins overfilled. I just don't want more clutter.

I do buy the odd physical book, but I am now mainly an iBooks reader.

I prefer bound books as well, especially hardbacks. With an e-book (is that the correct term?) I was just thinking that I could make the font bigger or smaller as needed.

I purchase the occasional physical book, also. But the ability to search for phrases in an e-book makes the Kindle indispensable for the technical books I purchase.

Random thought on a Sunday afternoon .....

I was just perusing the APV/Temp Control Forum/Thread on ECF and it seems that there are 300w mods starting to hit the market. I get that this is definately a "mine is bigger than yours" contest and who can get to market first with "bigger and better", but I don't get why 300w is required and I'm sure someday in the near future I will be asking the same about 400w or 500w or....

I am not a <10w Provari only guy at all nor am I against subohming. I love my standard 1.8ohm 13w vaping but also really enjoy vaping at 0.5ohm at 35w (almost daily) and even 0.2ohms at 65-75w. I have 3 200w mods that are used fairly often.

I can see some cloud bros vaping 0.1ohms at 100-150w, but who in their right mind would actually vape over 200w let alone at 300w? Wouldn't a menu that is actually easy to use with a nice big colour touch screen be a much more revolutionary advancement than adding yet another 100w as an example?

Anyways, I think this whole high wattage thing is getting nutty and curious as to where you folks think it is all going.

Perhaps you should consult a young man at a local B&M. He may have only been vaping for a couple of months, but I'm sure he can explain why you need 300 watts.

I should. Ask him/her what clouds at 300w look like and to demonstrate. I will ensure there is oxygen and a difubrulator handy.

I first got my Nook because I have a problem with my hand that makes it painful to hold a book for too long, the larger font size will come in handy later I'm sure! Plus I read a lot, and it's great to be able to carry lots of books with me so when I finish one I have a choice of which to read next.

Go back to that thread and watch the 10 X 18650 box mod video. The reviewer on that vid is the target audience. In my honest assessment, Not Too Bright...lol

With regards to the wattage race, whatever blows someone's skirt up, so to speak, is ok with me. I am a live and let live type of guy. I do worry about the overall perception of vaping however. Not to be dramatic but, at about 1 week shy of a year since my last cigarette, I am pretty sure that vaping has extended my lifespan as compared to smoking.

My wife is a voracious reader. She was dead set against anything other than an actual book. I took a chance and got her a Kindle for a vacation. She has not been without one in years now.
