Hey everyone. Heading to bed now, but wanted to let you know I likely won't be around much the next few days. My very fragile and elderly (95 years) father is on his last days on this planet. I spent most of the afternoon at his side, as they say he will likely pass in the coming days. At this point, at least for him, it will be a blessing.

Please keep posting everyone. Don't let the FDA push us away. We matter. Our stories and voices matter. Our lives matter. Our right to vape matters. So don't lose the faith. We all need to push push push.

See ya'z all soon.

Gawd I'm so far behind on all the thread. {{{{Hugs to you Sir Rod}}}}

I took the opportunity this evening to write my Congresswoman who is up for re-election in June. I always encourage vaping Folk I run across to contact their representatives regarding the 2017 Agricultural Appropriations Bill, but a politician in even the largest of congressional districts ignores a small group of voters at their peril come re-election time. I drafted a simple letter that outlined our concerns without ever actually telling her which side of the fence we were on. It's my hope that might get me a minuscule amount of truth out of her. I also make sure to let her know I represent not only myself but all of my circle of friends that also live within her district. So if your Congressperson is on the campaign trail, make sure to remind them they need your vote. I've copied the basic letter I drafted in case yer tired and just want to do a short *edit and send it off.

Greetings,

I represent a small body of your constituency that numbers about 25. This upcoming election is especially important to us due to the Cole-Bishop Amendment of the 2017 fiscal year Agricultural Appropriations bill that may soon be up for a vote. Simply put, I would like to know how Congresswoman *Chu intends to vote on the above noted bill. Her answer will be the deciding factor wherein our small, but highly motivated caucus will either Support or Actively Oppose her re-election. You would be astonished at the amount of political leverage that can be applied by a group of tenacious and like-minded voters who are determined to protect their interests and in this case, their health. Give Congresswoman *Chu my best wishes and my hats off to you staffers who do yeoman's work on behalf of your Country. *Jim-, CA

I wrote my senator and finally got a response back from him. And what did it say????? Clearly someone on his staff simply reiterated the reasoning behind the dooming regs. As if they were trying to explain them to me, in I'm stupid layman terms.

It was an appalling response and I responded back that I didn't write him to ask for someone on his staff to educate me. I wrote him asking for him to support the bill in front of congress on the grandfather date and to stop the FDA from doing something so dangerous.

And every hour I work pays their salaries.......:-x

this is the part that is funny ... they don't even know they've been conned into protecting BT in favour of their jobs :smokie:

They are trying to eliminate a true medical miracle ... there will be a tipping point with the attempted hijacking of vaping.

The propaganda spewed to poison the public from vaping is a bandaid solution ... the massive lies will be exposed in due time.

The attempted hijacking of vaping will fail in the long term ... the public will eventually know the real truth about these life saving devices.

Thinking of you, Browski. ( :wub: )

OOOO! Thank you! Somehow I missed your tag.

Here's more levity. If I was a spider, I'd be this one.

But you are not a spiderette. You are an Ocellata.

We spent some time with my father this afternoon and he was in very bad shape. Then we met my brother and SIL for dinner, when the call came that he passed away. He was in so much pain, it was just awful to see, so I'm grateful he doesn't have to suffer anymore. And it was nice that we were all together when we got the news.

Thanks for the all the good wishes. While he wasn't religious, I hope he has joined my mother and his family.
