Happy to be... Not Smoking!!!
@AstroTurf, I'm done tryin' to splain the Kabuki to Mr. Red. So many of all y'all put up with my interminable questions when I first joined ecf that I thought I'd try. Now exhausted.
PS - I didn't understand the internal resistance convo, either! Read it twice; hopeless, me.
You did good LB, You Did Good!!!

Jim

PS As Mike would say... Just vape It.

im confused. ProVape site says this "
  • 2 Extension Rings (All three battery sizes can be used with the P3) (18350,18500,18650)

you use 490's fine tho?

Yes 18490's work just fine. The numbers actually refer to the dimensions of the battery. 18mm in diameter, then either 350, 490/500, or 650mm in length. The only difference between the 18500 and 18490 (besides 10mm of length) is that the 500 is a 650mAh battery and the 490 is a 1200mAh battery. Which is why most people prefer the 490 over the 500.

Just got to drop the last zero on the length. 18350 = 35mm length.

I believe that is 1mm difference in length - not 10mm?

I've got a question/rant

We often talk about how people view vaping in public & how negative it *looks* to others.

Well, last night in MY house my g*d's therapist started the mild coughing while I was vaping. Me being me let her sit there & perform until I got tired of what I perceived as theatrics. I asked if *this* was bothering her & she said exactly what I expected- went on about how cigarette smoke bothers her.

Me being me came back with "It's a good thing for both of us I'm not smoking!"

Immediately her *coughing* stopped.
I pictured beating her in the head with a box mod.......but I didn't. ;)

My question....In YOUR own home how do you feel about people judging your vaping or assuming it's cigarette smoke?

Our friends and family are thrilled that I quit smoking. They know that vaping is different and, though they ask questions, don't complain. My Dad and two in laws are severely asthmatic; my vaping doesn't bother them a bit - in our house or theirs. I don't do clouds. That might make a difference to them.

You did great not to beat her head in with a box mod! Showed extreme restraint, in my humble estimation :).

Had a woman blinking her eyes incessantly while I was vaping. Finally she said smoke makes her eyes water and swell. Her sister chimed in and said it was vapor and not smoke. Her eyes were not watering and not swollen. It's was just a psychological reaction born and living inside of her hypochondriac head. Their motive isn't to protect themselves, it's to pass judgement onto others about things they neither understand or care to understand.

I guess the difference here is she didn't ask questions- just automatically assumed the position of passing judgement on someone whom she saw as 'smoking'.

Speaking of clouds- I do them. I am most definitely a cloud chaser. Can't recall someone ever creating an atomic cloud from a cigarette tho.

^^ This rii here is exactly what I was feeling with each *cough*! Yet the moment I said I wasn't smoking the coughing stopped.

Now if I were in here place of employment or even her house, I wouldn't have vaped at all but in my own home I felt the nerve of her. Actually her coughing made me wanna vape harder.

My wife and family are thrilled I'm no longer smoking. Sure a few times I was sent to DP's futon, but worth it. Both my sons vape now and no longer smoke.
My immediate family are rock hard in their belief that vaping is still smoking. It's my friends who've been the biggest supporters- even vaping themselves.
