Many of us use our big boy toys when out and about. There's no rule book saying you can't as well. Me thinks you're making this harder than it needs to be.

{cough} Sir Rod, this is JJOOHHNN:

JJOOHHNN climbs rocks and trees and goes on extreme bike rides. He also likes to ponder the most minute detail of every product he considers buying. He sometimes appears to mildly overthink things. We like him anyway.

JJOOHHNN, this is Sir Rod:

Sir Rod loves his Radius/Kabuki combo. He has two adorable kitties name Emi and Eri. He does not climb rocks, trees or go on extreme bike rides.

Russell is definitely a class act. It sounds like he was on the phone most of the day getting things sorted out and took the time to call everyone personally and give his apology. He didn't have to. And it's nice to hear everyone he called was understanding. It's always nice to get this kind of feedback from vendors.

On the other hand, while MFS hasn't done anything terrible, I'm still waiting for my refund and new coupon code so I can reorder the Nautilus coils from the Black Friday sale. When I ordered, there was a glitch so my credit card got charged but no order showed up. I called them on Monday and was told to open a case so they would have tracking on it. So I did. I got an email today stating the will be refunding and giving me a new coupon code. The email was signed: With Best Regards, Sales :|
According to David from MFS, they were slammed so hard the server timed out trying to update and the e-mail I received with my order number was never added to the database. They took great care of my issue - I give them high marks for the customer service. I will be buying from them again in the near future (about the time for the Christmas sale :D)!

When you start using RBA's, I have no sense of how much wires is being consumed. I got a small roll, it is 30feet. I went small because I didn't know if I would be using multiple gauges.

The roll is 30' that to me sounds like it would last several years but I don't know how much really gets consumed. I passed up on 100' thinking it is more than I would ever use.

How much Kanthal do you guys consume?

Oh, I also got a box of rayon that was recommended to me. The box is huge, I have a feeling it is a ten lifetime supply.

What topper are you going to marry up with those minis you give your nephews?

Seriously though, I ultimately believe it is the juice that has a larger impact on whether someone replaces smoking with vaping. The gear is interesting to be sure and it can hold one's interest for awhile but until one finds a flavor they really like they wont have total buy-in. Perhaps you can put together a juice program/regimen for them as well. The only way I know how to do that is to sample, sample, sample...from reputable vendors. Link them to their websites and get them looking at it. And I find encouraging them to like what I like is a mistake. I'm always amazed at what vapers like. And most of the time it isn't anything I would like. For example, SR likes spearmint. I would never make it a day with spearmint. In fact, I might throw up after five minutes. But then if SR vaped what I like he might likely have the same reaction. Yet, we were both cigarette smokers.

Good luck with your nephews. If it fails, no one will be able to blame the gear. :)
I've been giving that some thought - haven't really made a concrete decision. I've got a couple of tabacco flavored from my local B&M and I also have some of HHV and NET liquids (sample packs - thanks to the HHV forum for recommendations) coming, so I'm hopeful that I can find them something they like - now I just need to find a good tank for them. It will initially need to be plug-n-play. It also needs to be fairly inexpensive, as my vape budget is well over the limit with recent purchases. Any tank suggestions for starters?

Oh for sure they were slammed. That's why it took me 40 minutes to place my order. Sounds like the same thing that happened to you happened to me. How did you get your issue resolved so quickly? I'm still waiting so I can re-order.

I guess I'm going to have to call MFS. I checked the bank and it shows 4 completed transactions and 1 pending. Perhaps they will send me all of the heads their system ordered for me instead of a charge back. Whatcha think?

If there was a black one in that group, I just might have answered affirmatively.
I ordered a black regular size, but someone else got it - Russell was kind enough to offer another Bronze one (or refund). I am going to one of their stores and try some of these ADV that the Ocelot keeps talking about.

I use up more wire than I need to, since I find longer pieces of wire easier to work with. I'm still on the first roll I bought in January 2014. I don't remember how many feet it is, but it cost around/under $5.00.

If you plan to use it on your new Sophia V2, a 30 foot roll is going to last a while. Let's just say you use 12 inches (more than you have to) for each build. That would give you 30 builds. I can make a coil last 6 months or more 30 feet is going to last me several years.

Probably a good idea to find out what's going on. Sounds like the 4 completed ones didn't go through and the one pending did. My bank shows my transaction as completed but no order in MFS's database for it.

My MFS account say one completed order on 11/27. I got a shipping notice, but tracking lists the status as: 11/29 pre-shipment info sent to USPS.

A Willy in the making.
I'm nowhere near any of y'all - I've learned so much here. One day, I hope to be able to tell my decendants, "Oh, yeah - we used to converse on ECF" and they'll be like "What is an ECF? Is that before or after the telegraph?" (as if they knew what a telegraph was).

Well, simple means prebuilt coils and sadly I have not kept up with that kind of gear. Kabukis are too expensive so I think maybe you're looking at Naughties or Subs or similar. Someone else that messes with prebuilts would know more than I. Just make sure you get coils that those minis can handle. Something over one ohm.

A foot per coil, I can remember that. How much cellucotton rayon do you consume? It seems like the consumables in RBA's cost next to nothing. The smallest box could probably hold a dozen rolls of toilet paper. (only unit of measure I could think of on the fly).

The box of rayon I have is 40ft. Including the extra fiber that comes out when I pull off a piece and the ends that get snipped off, each wick I make uses about a toothpick sized piece of rayon. I'm not good at math, I'll let you figure it out. ;)
