kinda like when people collect watches ... they really only need one

another reason, ProVaris are not cheap or easily available here in Canada ... I've helped several people quit smoking with a ProVari, where, they probably wouldn't try a ProVari on their own, because of the cost.

to buy direct from ProVape is an extra $50 Canadian shipping

I tried to order a $44.99 2.5 blem today with the MLK 10% code and shipping was indeed about $50CAD.:( $45USD mod, $30+US shipping. Crazy.

In any case, I am in the US in a few weeks so I added another 2.5 to my order to get past the $99 mark for free shipping and had it shipped to my hotel.:)

That will put me at 5 Provaris. I had zero 3 weeks ago.

If shipping from ProVape to Canada ... I think Canada Customs also charges for duty

It looks like I will have to send a ProVari in for repair for the first time. My 2.0 that was gifted to me after "at least 2000 drops" has only been with me (all day, every day) for a year and a half, but the button now requires extreme pressure to fire. Thanks to the classys on ECF and those sweet deals, I do have backups!

This has happened to me before and I opened a ticket. Found out I needed to clean the contacts and make sure the spring in the cap was still springy. After cleaning everything, the button is good again. This only happens on one of my 2.5 devices. The other ones I haven't had this issue.

a friend from work bought 2 from ProVape for himself and his wife ... he got dinged for duty
Ouch. That sucks. Weird though. Maybe handling/brokerage?

In any case, I had a gold 2.5 blem in my cart ready to checkout. It was about $80US with shipping before taxes and any handling/duty. No thanks. I can get one from my local Provari reseller for the same price (brand new, not blem) or likely less if I pay cash or ask for a discount.

The blem deals are great if you can ship to the U.S. and pick them up or have a friend bring them to you. I just happened to remember that I was heading to the US in a few weeks, changed the shipping address, added a second 2.5 to get the free shipping, and voila!

I have never been charged duty on vape gear.
Duty on anything is generally 1% to 2%. (Calculated on the value in CDN $)
Last order cleared customs in 3 mins. :)

I refuse to buy from companies that will not ship via the postal system.

Same here. USPS/Canada Post is all I will use. FedEx maybe for stuff like concert tickets or Amazon.ca where tax is charged up front.

UPS into Canada is laughable. Anyone that doesn't agree has never had a package shipped to them from the U.S. by UPS.:p

I once ordered an $80 pair of boots and duty/handling/brokerage was almost $50 and the tax was around $10. 75% in fees seems a tad excessive IMO. I have walked away from dozens of deals due to this. USPS only for me.

Apologies for the derail. Looking forward to Provaris #4 and 5.:)

I recently bought 5 ProVaris from Mr. Eliquid for $35 each  ... strange thing is, 3 of them had slightly loose boards

ProVape's awesome CS is fixing them under warranty :2cool:

I also have a V1 in the Spa ... getting the new version board with blue LED and magnified window :vapor:

How could you tell the board was loose if thats not a silly question? Shake it very gently and listen for rattle? My 2 mr e's seem fine but if something is up, would rather fix it now...

Good lord do I want one of these now!

ProVari P3 Stealth - Military Edition - Titanium

Now that I've gotten into collecting Oakley's and their (now discontinued) x-metal line of titanium frames, I've come to very much appreciate titanium.... I might sell some things to "fund the purchase" :)

That is not a bad idea at all. Not at all!

I just wanted to share in here but cause you've all been talking about the glory of the Ti, but I'm finally "seeing the light".

And I know this isn't "on topic" - but it kinda is because it helps appreciate titanium as a material.

I don't know if it's the same alloy and all that, but they've got to be at least somewhat similar:
