If TC is what Provape is going to announce I feel it's a mistake. 99% of all the Provari uses and I mean those who only use a Provari are thrilled vaping under 20 watts. I know I am never going to push 20 watts and there is no need for me to even try. The P3 connector was a failure. Besides the kabuki and k4 no other manufacturer has offered a P3 connector.
I did a quick search and there are at least 20 TC mods selling for under $50.00. I'll keep my 2.5, P3, Radius and my Kayfuns and not give TC a second thought.
I was a big fan of TC before Zen showed me the way back to basics with the Kabuki. But Temp Control doesn't necessarily entail high wattage. I used Nautilus tanks and though the coils were capable of going higher I generally stayed in the teens. I just prefer mouth to lung.
By far the biggest reason I've seen people believe they don't like TC (not including you, Ping) is that they tried one of the MANY janky mods out there that really IS temperature guessing. I was lucky because just by accident my first TC mod was a SX Mini. Temp control is a very enjoyable experience
only as long as the mod is actually doing it!
Lots of testers have instumented the SX, and in every case they are very, very close to the level they were set for. I have a pile of other mods here that range from close misses all the way to totally fraudulent.
And as far as I'm concerned, TC isn't much about avoiding dry hits. The main reason I like it is that it is a very consistent quality vape. The temperature doesn't rise as the drag lengthens. And your first hit will be the same as your last one hours later.
Of course, the reason I've become active on these ProVape forums is that Provari is also very steady and very consistent. It's just a different means. Both are good but in slightly different ways. But yes, I am 80% Provari these days mainly because I like the Kabuki so much and because the BVC coils are so much cheaper.
So if Pro Vape comes out with a TC device (which I don't think will be anytime soon, if ever) I'm sure it will break new ground just as every model they've produced in the past.
