I don't know what it is with these vape shops. They seem to think everyone will like what they like. How about setting them up with something the customer will like? And most novice vapers do not want cloud machines. I just do not get it. All they have to do is ask a couple questions to gauge the customer's level of experience. If they have little experience then just give them standard stuff...basic tank atty w/1.5 ohm coil and a simple-to-use vv/vw mod. If they want to branch out from there fine. Many who have tried subohm have not liked it and went back to standard coils. Me included. Nothing wrong with trying but geez, it isn't for everyone.

Vape shops are no longer run or staffed by people trying to quit smoking, but hobbyists, and hobbyists think that everyone should like what they like.

***YES***

And YES.

AND YES!

Fully agree. Couldn't agree more.... It's infuriating.

What totally infuriated me was them TRYING to get Me to upgrade to a subohm device! Even after they figured out I knew what I was talking about. The first words: Have you tried it?

Yes, :censored: I did. No, I do NOT like it.
Him: Have you tried xxx?

Then he tries to sell me a clone of the KFL+
Me: I already have the genuine
him: Have you tried the clone?
Me: Why should I? I like what I have.
him: You might like it if you try it.

Pushy, pushy, pushy :censored: people. :-x

:censored: :censored: :censored: Idjit.

We left after daughter thought she was getting something that would work on the ProVari. I was sooooooo .......
We went to the next shop and even though I had paid for the first shop's POS, I gave it to the second shop and told them to PIF to someone that could use it.

We went on yelp and downvoted the first shop. Gave the second shop Rave reviews. :D

I'm so lucky to have the vape shop I have. When I first started shopping there, they were all mechanical sub ohm drippers and they sold mostly clones. Today, they only sell authentic gear and from the owner down to the staff, everyone is happily vaping the day away on a Radius or P3 topped with a Kabuki. They of course still cater to sub ohm drippers, but they themselves seem to have moved back to regulated mods.

And I think you prodded them that way! Good work!

I'm not sure I can take any credit for that, but the owner and I did get into some philosophical discussions about clowns and sub ohming. I'd say they now all carry Provari's with Kabuki's on top because Provape gear is at the high end of the regulated mod gear they carry and if people see all the store employees enjoying a vape on a Provari, it shows them it might be the kind of gear they might like to own for themselves.

That's interesting as I have almost completely switched back to ohm+ vaping as well. I rarely pull out the drippers or 0.2-0.3ohm coils these days. Weekend maybe, but never while out and about during the week.

My reasons are that most 100-200w mods are too big, battery life sucks, I use too much juice and I don't want to always generate enough vapour to make it look like Cheech & Chong was there.

What type of location are they in? You are truly fortunate to have a quality shop like that. For me to visit a decent shop, it's an hour to one, and an hour and a half drive to the other.

They are in a little strip center 10 minutes from my office and home. In a very nice part of Tampa. Tampa was recently listed as one of the 5 most vape friendly cities in America.

I remember driving around down there with my brother who lived out his days in Palm Harbor, and saying, "everything is a strip mall" down here  I really enjoyed the Dali museum in St. Pete :thumb:

Yes, in Florida, we paved Paradise and put up strip malls. The Dali Museum is very cool indeed!

I've discovered that vaping, like many other things in life is a circle....seems a lot of people eventually make their way back to what they started with in the beginning. ProVaris don't fall under H.E.M. for me but my H.E.M. have taken a backseat lately to my lower end gear- full circle.

I've only been in one vape shop in which the owner & his wife were using ProVaris. They had other mods they were using as well. Their main customer base were all MVP & eGo users & they were the happiest damn bunch of people I've ever seen in one place at one time.
Other than the owner, I was the only one in there with a mech- it felt weird- like I was out of place. They didn't have anything device-wise that interested me but I did leave with some juice (gotta support the locals anyway ya can)!

I buy most of my juice from my local vape shop. They make their own and their flavors taste great to me. I've recently discovered Heather's Heavenly Vapes and have added them to my mix as well.

HHV & TPR were one of the 1st I quickly dropped from the list. I bought a bunch of juice based on the recommendation of others. I must have one very interesting palate cause not one flavor did I like- ended up giving them all away. They were so bad (for me) that I didn't even wanna Frankenvape them.

I dont go out of my way to buy juices from local vendors. Much of what they sell, I'm paying for the name. Now the vendors I will break my neck to buy from are those that make their own juice. I have one right now that's a raspberry/lemon concoction that's so delicious I never run out of it & that combo was once unvapeable cause fruit vapes would make me sick.

As I type this, I'm vaping HHV's Peppermint Bark and simply love it. I ordered two new flavors from them with their 15% off Valentines sale. One is Caramel Apple Tobacco and the other is Mocha Java Smooth. In theory, I should like them both, but won't know until I taste them.
