It is literally breathtaking on how much thought went into these "Deemings" by the FDA with the sole intent being the utter destruction of the industry. They truly are morally bankrupt and outright evil.

Let us not forget, this is the same agency that allowed Seldane to be brought to market, and left it there for 25 years, despite overwhelming evidence that long-term use could result in cardiac problems. It wasn't until they were named as co-defendants in a class action lawsuit that they finally pulled it off the market. :grr::sneaky:

During the time the current regs were being drafted, FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg allegedly used the agency to get a dangerous drug approved, even though it had serious and sometimes deadly side effects, to generate millions of dollars in illegal drug company profits for her husband’s hedge fund company.

Former FDA Commissioner in Massive Conspiracy and Rackeetering Lawsuit | Federal Charges.com 2016

They are legally paid criminals and they have been so for many many many years. They are charged with our health and safety but we all know that's a lie.

I got an update e-mail about a petition I signed a ways back
ubT0ZcXm-NB4qbJKiVsup5vbmhSiQILTKV_4QqzXyHj9pfP-1H2PRsVfDJc0oz93CsnOM9so3Kpi4U5qKVWk0knHWDqAVjTcOZHPva5D01uRsFqUMacbgyrqmpQ=s0-d-e1-ft

Following up on your petition on the tobacco regulations:

A few months back, we sent an initial response to a petition you signed on the tobacco deeming regulations. At the time, the rule in question was still under interagency review. But now, there's more to say.

Last week, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration finalized a rule extending its authority to all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, cigars, hookah tobacco, and pipe tobacco, among others.

This rule will allow the FDA to improve public health and protect future generations from the dangers of tobacco use through a variety of steps, including restricting the sale of these tobacco products to minors nationwide.

Tobacco use poses a significant threat to public health and is the leading cause of preventable deaths in the U.S. today. While there has been a major decline in the use of traditional cigarettes among youth over the past decade, their use of other tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, continues to climb.

In 2015, 3 million middle and high school students were using e-cigarettes.

Prior to FDA’s actions this week, there was a big difference between the rules for the makers of traditional tobacco cigarettes and the rules for these new products.

If you were to purchase a traditional cigarette today, you would be warned about the health risks. You'd also be over the age of 18, because it is illegal to sell cigarettes to minors. These safeguards have greatly contributed to the decline in smoking. But the newer tobacco products haven't had these same safeguards in place.

The new regulations are aimed at making sure all tobacco manufacturers and retailers follow the same rules -- rules to protect children and make sure everyone can make informed decisions about their own health and the products they purchase.

So what do the new provisions say? For starters:

  • Stores will not be allowed to sell e-cigarettes, cigars, and hookah tobacco to people under 18 years of age.
  • All sales to those 26 and under will require a photo ID -- just like needing an ID for cigarettes.
  • Manufacturers will be required to place health warnings on product packages and ads.
You can read more about the new regulations and what this means for manufacturers, retailers, and our nation's health here.

These regulations mark a new chapter in the FDA's efforts to end preventable tobacco-related disease and death, ensure consumers can make informed decisions, and protect the health of America's youth from the dangers of tobacco.

Thanks again for raising your voice on this issue.

-- The We the People Team

It looks like somebody totally missed the jist of what the petition was about :facepalm::facepalm: I feel that there is a parade of steamrollers coming and they are going to roll right over vaping as we know it.

Ms. O, thank you for the articles.

This first one you mentioned The Rest of the Story: Tobacco News Analysis and Commentary: FDA Draft Guidance Confirms that Deeming Regulations Will Decimate the E-Cigarette Industry was discussed today on a Webinar put out by WhiteCloud ecigs. Dr. Siegel went into some of this detail, and he was superb.

I'm hoping and waiting for WC to send a link to the re-broadcast, but they did tell me to watch their YT page for updates.

It's a mess, and an insane mess. Yet I still feel strongly that we will trample the stupidity and arrogance.

Today, CASAA, SFATA, AEMSA, AVA and NBS have formally announced their coalition to pursue legal and legislative strategies now that the FDA’s final deeming regulations have been released.

The coalition will continue working to determine the correct litigation strategy and legislative actions. We will be informing the vapor industry and community of next steps, deadlines, PR objectives, and grassroots efforts. Organizations interested in participating should contact coalition partners.

Please feel free to contact any of the organizations listed above for more details in the coming days.

Great articles Oce ... these guys are going down this time.

There's too much good gear (lots of Provi) and others out there .... plus we're all stocked up on nic for like ... forever.

Vaping will prevail as the Medical Miracle we know it to be.

Unfortunately, it will be too late for many lives and jobs.

How fast can we prove vaping is safer than smoking? ... it's going on 10 years soon.

on another note ... Canada's Biggest Vape Expo is this weekend here in Toronto

Thanks for posting about the vape expo. I though it was the following week.

I will be there on the Sat.

I will be the guy in all the cloud comps with my 200W Snow Wolf and ammo belts loaded up with assorted drippers.:) In all seriousness, I will be the only other guy there with a Provari.:D

1 year a vaper, give or take. Yesterday was my ecf anniversary which is about a week or 2 after i found an ok level of mg wit the ego2s. A year later I have 15 mods, littke over half provari 2.5s and then 1 p3, 3 radius and 3 hex ohms. My vapocalypse hoard includes about 7 years worth of nautilus coils for 3 kabukis. I still have 2 nautilus tanks and a subtank pro too just never use it.

About 2 or 3 kabukis in daily rotation with a kayfun mini v3 and 2 vector rdas. I have a revolt and stumpt rda too and a spare vector. The stumpy gives phenomonal flavour you just need to refill it a lot.

There's 3 kayfun lite pluses too which i've set asid for now but will become the primaries whenever my nautilus coils run out. The lites are great, the mini 3 is really superb though. More refilling but def. an edge in ease and flavour.

I have about enough commercial purchased juice to go through early next year. And a lot of nude armor frozen nic, enough to go for quite a few years. I'll be making a last couple of vendor juice purchases soonish to add another couple of months to the supply... Still by april or may next year i will be diying 100%. (For the most part all my juice so far has been fine at typical apt temps for a year)

It's been a wonderful way to never want a regular cig again. Wonderful flavours, interesting tech and despite the arguments a community.

I barely have words for deeming. I hope that despite the large odds vapeversarys are enjoyed by many for years to come.

Anyways, thanks provarinati for all the info and fun!

Congrats on a year! I am coming up to 6 months next week, which still amazes me.

I am in a similar place as you.... I have a dozen Provaris (2.5 x 7, Classic x 2, P3 x 2 and a Radius. I also have a 5-6 other good mods that should last for years.

I have a couple of years supply of Nautilus coils socked away for my Kabukis and Nautilus tanks but want to add to that stockpile. I'm a fan of rebuilding, so if I ever run out of Nauti coils I have at least 1/2 dozen assorted rebuildable RTAs (Kanger, Crown, etc) with lots of extra RBA kits and about the same number of RDAs. Thanks to the ProVape forum, I was able to order 5 x iGO-L RDAs yesterday for $1 each, so a dozen+ drippers once all said and done. Electronic Stix still had 17 iGOs left last time I checked today, so a great way to add to the "rainy day" pile on the cheap IMO. Also lots of extra glass and steel tanks, tons of o-rings, etc.

I also have a 100+ year supply of rayon and a few packs of assorted cotton to go with a few hundred feet of assorted wire. I don't forsee any of this being hard to get in any case.

I have a good 2 litres of store bought juice on hand (6-9 months supply) a litre or two each of PG and VG and 2 litres of 100mg NIC in the freezer. I am buying another 1-2 litres of NIC in the coming months and am not worried about PG/VG access. I have a bunch (20-ish) of 30ml bottles of flavour and I am not concerned with Capella, TFA, FW and Lorann flavour availability moving forward either.

Soooo.... I will be vaping happily for a very long time no matter what. NIC is still readily available but expensive in Canada, but whatever. $100 for a litre Of NIC that will make me almost a decade's supply of juice is still insanely cheap. Once I add another couple of litres, I only have to worry about (potentially) stocking up on Nautilus coils and I bet they will be readily available for a few years anyways.

Apologies for the novel, but I am bored. ;)

Welp, I've enjoyed my time as the laaaaaaziest vaper on Earth, but my hand has been forced by the nasty deeming: I spent the weekend, like many, buying the vaping stuffs - and watching YT vids on making coils and such. So I'm finally going to DIY juice and attempt THE BUILDING OF THE COILS.

I also added to my collection of ProVape goodies: I'd just received my purkle and bronze Radius Friday (topped with the Rose Gold Kabuki), and immediately ordered a Stealth flavor. Might get one for the Mr. too. Goodness I think we have over 30 ProVape wonders now!

Some of you may remember me from a few years ago as the obsessive collector of the Provari Mini Rainbow Collection. I still have them all!!:hubba::hubba::hubba::hubba::hubba:
