Good evening.

I need a bit of assistance, if you don't mind. I own a ProVari mini 2.5 and I want to buy en extension cap so I can use an 18490 battery. So far so good.

My question is, if I also order this extension ring:

ProVari 3 and Classic Extension Ring

will I be able to use an 18650 battery with my mini? I'm not quite sure how it works. Is it worth it? Or should I just stick with the extension cap and a 18490 battery for my mini.

All extension rings are a 1/2 inch, on a mini you can use a 18490 but never a 18650, a standard size 2.5 with an extension ring can use a 18650 though.

You can use Two rings on a 2.5 mini.. do people have the idea that you can't?

Yes, we do have options.

Greek vapors made a double size extension ring that was in stock last time I checked, if one prefers using one ring to make mini 18650 ready.

I like the look of ring or rings and bottom cap over using the matching 2.5 more rounded end cap.

In other words, are those two interchangeable? A ring with a standard cap is the same as extension cap?

the extension ring is basically a extension cap with no end to it, so it would make a mini 2.5 into 18490 mode

Aha! So I can use my standard cap with an extension ring or use an extansion cap. Got it! I wasn't sure about the threading...

I remember those from a long time ago, they were telescopic, weren't they? One could use both 18490 and 18650 batteries with one extension. I haven't seen them lately.

You can also grab two of the 2.5 Ti rings, with your standard cap. There was a Televari (telescopes) for sale very recently too. So, yes - there was a time.. [emoji4]
