Yep, We're all in the same boat...

But actually, Steve stated "About 2-4 weeks before shipping" on the release date (5-08-09) which puts the "Window" at 5-22 to 6-05, Still hoping they make that window!

Haven't seen a post from Steve in a week...Hopefully they have been too busy testing finished parts and getting packaging ready:D...Maybe No news is good news, but I'd still like to get an update where things stand.

Casey said (via email) yesterday, She would try to get an update posted on the forum soon.:)

In all fairness though... I think we all had our suspicions that we would not see any V1's or PT's shipping within the anticipated window, especially after Steve announced the recent Changes & Improvements to both product lines.
Last minute changes affecting tooling and manufacturing all add time to the process. But I'm not giving up hope yet... Maybe Steve will find time in the next day or two to give us an update.

Mike

Darn, wish I read this Mike before I actually posted! Thanks for the very nice comments. Just posted an update. The change add/subtract of the resistor through off tooling for the plastic piece (as well as the OD on the grommet for the USB) but we are still reaching for the deadline of the 5th :)

I hate discouraging people thus I kept everything open and didn't feel confident on giving dates until I was quite sure of everything :)

Darn, wish I read this Mike before I actually posted! Why? That was just a post from one anxious customer replying to other anxious customers, carries little weight with the Hungry Masses yearning to breathe through their new PS V1's and PT's. We all want to hear it straight from the horses mouth. Thanks for the very nice comments. Just posted an update. The change add/subtract of the resistor through off tooling for the plastic piece (as well as the OD on the grommet for the USB) but we are still reaching for the deadline of the 5th :) And we're all keepin' our fingers crossed, hoping you are able to hit that target date.

I hate discouraging people thus I kept everything open and didn't feel confident on giving dates until I was quite sure of everything :) I'm sure everyone noticed (and subconsciencely dismissed) the repeated ambiguity in your ship date projections (ie. "About", "Anticipated", etc..) but when we're anxiously awaiting products as new and innovative as the V1 and PT promise to be, Our tendancy is to focus on the "suggested" date as a "hard n' fast" number that we can mark on our calendars.
This subconscience tendancy typically pans out for us, because we usually receive online purchases BEFORE we expect to. How many times have we ordered something online that clearly states "Allow 7-10 Days Shipping time" and we have it in our hands in 3-4 days? Just a matter of a conditioned expectation.

The situation here is hardly typical though... Since the announcement of your new product line and the "Anticipated 2-3 week ship date" there are a few issues that I have to take into account...

1. This is the INITIAL release of a brand, spanking new product line. (We're not waiting on a few backup batts or a bottle of juice, which would be much less anticipated) Hell, The V1 and PT had yet to be commercially produced and tested...not "Off the shelf" "Ho-Hum" stuff here.

2. The V1 has seen the addition of protection circuitry to prevent accidental toasting of our atomizers, allow for safer use of cartridges, prevent the need for constant dripping and provide an overall, more enjoyable end user experience. At the same time, Allowing for dual simultaneous production of the Originally proposed version! That is Unheard of in a commercially manufactured product! But it does speak volumes as to your integrity:thumb:...If you offered it for sale and accepted orders for it, By God...Your gonna deliver it as advertised!

3. The USBPass has undergone, what basically adds up to a, Complete Redesign . Just in the past couple of weeks! What started out as a somewhat beefier version of currently available technology, Has now evolved into a true Second Generation product. And is in a class by itself! Especially with the addition of the 6' 20AWG option in the second production run!!!
Upon it's release, This Product will have no competition! There is nothing else on the market that comes close to it's full complement of innovative capabilities.

So, If ya don't make the "Anticipated" Ship date of the 5th... I will understand that it's primarily due to the fact that, I'm actually getting MUCH MORE than I paid for... Of course, that doesn't mean I ain't gonna continue to Badger ya for constant updates!:D

I gotta tell ya Steve... I am extremely impressed with your Commitment to produce an Innovative, High Quality Product Line, Not to mention, The level of Dedication required to ensure these products get into our hands ASAP!

LOL Tescela...:D....

Like many other Suppliers, PS is actually on Our payroll :)... The one difference with PS is that... They appear to realize that:thumb:
Like the old saying goes.... "They know what side their bread is buttered on"

BTW, If I appear to be a little over zealous in my support of PS, It's because ... I am! :thumb:
If that puts me in the "Fanboy" classification, I gladly accept that title.:)

Ya see, I find it refreshing and exciting to see an innovative American Manufacturer (Not just another retailer or distributor of the same Chinese product) step into this arena, Especially one that is making every effort to "Get it Right" and provide some competitive catalyst which will move this industry toward higher quality, more dependable and affordable devices.
I'm anxiously awaiting the day when I can feel confident in my PV and it's components to work as advertised. :w00t:

Ok, I'll climb down off my soapbox now:p

Being only 8 to 10 days from receiving our Prodigy's I'm starting to get excited. I went through and organized my stash this weekend to make some room for more batteries and have set aside a case to use, I think it is big enough to accommodate. I am real excited to have a manual device @ 5v.

Has anyone else given any thought to a case or holster for the prodigy?

I picked up a 2 pocket belt holster. I'll put my Prodigy in one and batts, juice and spare atty in the other.

Actually, I ordered some belt clips, neoprene & Cordura material, Industrial Velcro and battery tubes last night.:D

After lookin 'round online, I couldn't find anything that I thought would work good for me... So I'm gonna fire up the ol' leather sewing machine and come up with a custom fitted Prodigy holster and "day pouch" of my own design.

I'll post what I come up with when I get sumthin' I can test it with.... Like my New Prodigy! :D
