Got my Prodigy today order #17155

When I first tried it out, I thought I was gonna put it right back in the box and send it back for refund. I blew 3 atomizers right away, one of them was fairly new the other two were on their last leg. I just got a really nasty flavor then pop. But then I decided to try the atomizer that shipped with the prodigy. Have had no trouble with it so far vaping for a couple hrs. the vapor tastes good and is abundant. Not sure why the other atomizers blew, maybe because they were previously being used on lower voltage? 2 of the atomizers were not true 901. they were purchased from bestecig. maybe that was the problem I dont know.

Hey Bubba ... Be careful bud. 901's need MUCH MORE LUBE than 801's. You need to keep liquid pumping through it like blood in our veins and you also need to make sure NOT to take longer drags than 2-3 seconds to start until you have mastered the learning curve !!!!

Steve, I haven't had any problems yet with a learning curve on the 901. I find the need to vape more than 2 or 3 seconds isn't necessary because there's so much vapor that I quit with the dragging quite soon anyway. And there is a distinct taste when the atty is getting dry and I just refill. Maybe it's just me, but so far vaping with the 901 is quite easy and pleasant!

Yes you must be right, I think the blowouts were due to user error. the atomizer that I am currently using is being kept well lubed and only doing the 2-3 second bursts. 2-3 seconds on the prodigy gives off way more vapor than the china battery anyway. Its much more like smoking a real cig with the shorter draw.

As far as a learning curve ... Your experience, i would assume, is quite different than others because you came from the SD. I would figure most come from run of the mill ecigs so manual switches, learning how to properly screw on an atomizer (on the Prodigy that is), and different voltages, all are quite new to them ... catching my drift ?!?!?!

Yup, you're right (again ). I didn't even think about that. And, maybe that's why I did pop those atty's on the Screwdriver at first, because I did have to learn how to vape with a mod. For some reason, soon after I popped about 3 of them, or was it 4, anyway, I must have learned something because I didn't do it any more and so far (knock on wood and thank the good Lord) I haven't popped any on the Prodigy. I have the 901 and I'm loving it!

Received my first ;-) Prodigy and boy, it's a beaut! No problems putting it together. No problems vaping from the get-go.

I smoke exclusively on the Screwdriver. I'm going to give the Prodigy a weeks worth of vaping and also go back and forth to see what I think.

Right now, as I mentioned, there was no problems of putting it together, none whatsoever. The Prodigy has seriously tons of vapor and right now it actually seems to me to be a smoother vapor. I have problems with my throat hurting, feeling scratchy and at times almost wanting to close up. I think it's a combination of vaping and being somewhat sensitive to PG, not enough to try and go strictly VG, but still a problem. Right now it seems the Prodigy gives a smoother vape to me, but I'll give it more time to decide.

It's a great PV, I've ordered a second and now I'm off to apply teeny tiny little flowers to my Prodigy

LOL, can you imagine if I happen to see a lady with this huge black tube that she's smoking away on and there's little tiny flowers on it and I yell out "HEY, YOUTUBE". They'd probably cart us away, but that'd be OK as long as they allowed us our Prodigy when they did.

You're welcome. I have a second Prodigy coming. It'll be fun shopping for decals for it. I hadn't thought about going to the drug stores.

Ok guys, here's the update for today:

All orders through 17634 have Prodigys ......

OMGOMGOMG!! I ordered late...WAAAAY late...as in 7/14...LOL What can I say, I had obligations to meet before getting a new toy for me Anyway, I figured, so I'll be getting it around Aug. 7th...after all, 2-3 weeks, and hey for me it's usually the latter guesstimate..

My order number is 17756! That's only 122 away! YAYYY!!

I'm already getting excited...trying to keep from buying replacement gear because I KNEW I was gonna be getting a Prodigy...1 flaky passthrough and 2 batteries for my entire supply (I have plenty of atomizers though)..Finally ordered another passthrough because the passthrough was not working more than it was..Then I dropped my e-cig when walking out to my car from school one day..Yep, killed the battery, not the atomizer.../sigh Something about me makes me destroy that which I take the most tender loving care of!

I am SOOO JAZZED about the quick service everyone else is getting!! But I promise to be patient. PROMISE!

I recieved my prodigy today and I must say this is a well built device, but what nic level is everyone vaping? I am having hard time vaping menthol 24mg. I tried some nasty 12mg low strawberry juice and I can actually blow out those monster vapors like from the video reviews. Also if I used a dead cr123 with a fully charged batt will it work? The throat hit is harsh when using 24mg.

It has arrived! (even though the post office never actually scanned the package into their web system) I actually got my new toy last night, took it to a party and it was not only a great device for me, it got passed around quite a bit, everyone loved smoking my "screwdriver pipe". On the 801 now and it kicks nicely, tried the 901 for a few hits, seemed to work OK, yet not much more than the 801 and I had to refill the 901 after about 2 hits. 801 with a full cart lasts me quite awhile as I am on 36mg and no longer do I need to vape all day, just now and then to be satisfied. Love everything about the Prodigy so far, granted 24 hours doesn't tell me much, yet from the other reviews I'd guess I'll be happy for quite awhile.

Got some Riskee too, is it basically RY4? Tastes the same to me...

Congrats. Yes, they're basically the same thing. Riskee is Steve's custom mix. RY4 = Riskee Yuice

Initial impression: the vapor production is great. I had my 510 dialed in to perfection and producing tons of vapor. The Prodigy with 510 atomizer is working as well right out of the box as my 510 was after tweaking it to find the perfect combo of cart filler, battery charge and so forth. Very nice.

I've only hit the Prodigy about a half dozen times and I've already got a nic buzz going on. The hotter vapor must allow the nicotine to absorb into your system more readily. This is the first time I've gotten a genuine buzz off of a PV that mimics the feeling of smoking an analogue.

Really nice work, Steve! I'll give more detailed impressions once I've been using it for a few days.

I think it's the massive amount of vapor. Kinda like a water .... effect. Not so much the heat, just high concentrated vapor!
