I, for one, am very pleased with what Puresmoker is managing to do. The output to the mail service is accelerating each day and so far all the reviews on these products (PG and PT) are overwhelmingly positive. The few issues that have been documented have apparently been rectified in short order.

IMHO these folks are doing a herculean job of getting a quality product produced and out the door. I know first hand what it takes to build, produce, tweak, troubleshoot and tweak some more and then organize and ship a product. Not to mention answer 375 billion emails and forum posts a day saying "er....not to bother you but could you possibly tell me when MY order will ship?"

Now with all that being said...... I have to wonder when mine will ship..... hehehehehehe

Chill out folks. I for one am content to know that I have a quality product on order that is going out the door as fast as possible.

--Order 17240 -- Prodigy V1 -- 801 --

PS -- Casey, what can I bribe you with? Perhaps a trip to Dollywood? :)

Sounds like they make 5 of these a day over there. As many of these things as you have sold you would figure your manufacturer would have developed a few ways to pump em out quicker. Maybe you need to start looking for a new manufacturer or renegotiate a deal with em so you can pass some savings on to your customers. Make the manufacturer eat the discount till they can get moving faster and supply you with actual stock on hand.

15% off for pre-orders sounds good to me.

Just my 2 cents

Sounds like you have never been in a machine shop or remotly understand what it takes to machine each individual prodigy. Each of the parts must be loaded into the cnc machine individually meaning 1 person standing in front a machine puts part in... waits while one end is machined, machine stops... person opens door of cnc lathe turns part around so other side can be machined closes door and waits. opens door and removes part and loads a new one. meanwhile he must also check tolerances every 10 or so parts. and thats just for the barrel. one person must make the end caps and adaptor pieces individually. This is a very time consuming process and even at the rate they are cranking them out now i am pretty impressed with the machine shops production. People also need to realized that puresmoker is not the machine shops only client and must also satisfy other customers work on top of puresmokers.

Having the ability to double or even increase production would require more employees to pay as well as additional machines. along with additional machines comes additional tooling and setup costs which are pricey in themselves. Sure they could do it but it would end up initially costing much more money for us for it to be done and with demand wouldnt be cost effective to puresmoker in the long run.... I love being and engineer lol!!!!

I love the fact that I knew this without an engineering degree or without ever dabbling in machinist work.

Now take into account that almost all of the pieces (tubes, adapters, switch housing, etc) are made in the same machine. The shop only has 1, they are the only shop who has this machine within driving range of us, and it takes 1-2 hours to reprogram it to make each different piece. The thing runs 24/7 but it still can only run one part at a time.

So, without reading all these threads and trying to calculate where I would be on the list of orders... can someone tell me how long between hitting the buy now button and delivery of a prodigy with 510 adapter would be? I am bouncing back and forth between the prodigy, screwdriver, and even the jantystick v2. I want the prodigy, but don't want to wait forever for it... sorry, not trying to be rude, but there is nothing I have read that indicates how long the backlog is right now.

I'm sure Casey will chime in but I think the current estimate is 2 weeks or so...

Order # 17053 801 Prodigy V1 shipped. Yay, i got that feeling in my stomach that you get when you get pulled over when i saw that.

OMG, OMG, OMG...they're already up to #17053???

Sweet! Although I might have to wait some extra time for the 510 adapters (if they haven't already arrived), I had no idea the orders were so far along!

I am 17089, ordered 6/20/09, 801 Prodigy + 510 adapter.

I am getting freshly excited all over again, after having forced myself into a serene waiting mode.:thumb:

You should be coming up soon, Steve said the 510's should start shipping today/tomorrow.
