Protank To Airy Draw Complaints? Leaking Complaints?

I didn't see anyone mention the Gotvapes air controller so I will. It's cheap, $3.45, and you can tune the draw on your ProTank, and many others as well, to your precise requirements. It is in fact made specifically for the ProTank and fits it exactly. Got mine drawing exactly the same as my Vivi Novas. Love it.

How does this contraption work? For the laziness in me today.

Have no such problem with mine. One thing some vendors sell Evod heads as Protank heads. The Evod has a smaller air hole than the protank the protank head is also longer then the Evod so if you have an evod head in the protank it may be a harder draw. Some folks also take 1 or more of the 1mm wicks off the top of the coil wick but you have to be careful as this could cause a leak. I personally have not had to do this. I find the draw to be a bit lose on the protank. Really airy.

I really dont like the pro tank. I also have a vamo and got some tribeca and put it in the pro tank. It was aweful.

I hope the new marlboro e cig will be a game changer.. I'm tired of of spending all this money on new gear only to go back to the smallest cheapest stuff I have.

I find the Protank to be airy also but I don't care I take a slower draw and it works out more better even though its airy its still better than my vivi nova and just as good as the aga t2

Also makes for a slightly warmer vape. I added a thin plastic disc under the Protank. It helps seal off the extra airflow to tighten the draw. I stumbled upon this on you tube. I thought EVELWMN did it, but I can't find it now.

To a point using the beauty ring does tighten the draw - putting in a EVOD head seems to help a little bit too.
I've messed with mine every which way til Sunday, and I still find it airy. Even my regular EVOD has a tighter, more satisfying draw.

I think I'll try the teflon tape around the threads next, then maybe throw it on the floor - see if that helps.

Edit - A lot of people also use the pro-tanks on Vamos and other mods - the flared beauty ring that comes with the pro-tank can't be used with those batteries.

I myself prefer a tighter draw, but i did get used to my KPT. i also rebuild the heads with micro coils and cotton wicks and it did tighten it up a bit.

To tighten up the draw on the Protank, try an airflow controller: Tank Airflow Controller (example). Try closing one of the air holes with tape or similar material. Try the evod head, it's tighter. Try the beauty ring that comes with the unit. Use a thicker juice. Keep the tank at least half way full (increases pressure/vacuum). Read the other posts on ones I missed.

My protank has never leaked and gurgle only happens when its my fault for flooding the coil. Also easily fixed by tapping the coil on a tissue.

I don't remove wicks or use the wrong heads though.

Yes. The draw is airy. I like it that way.

I'm a chain vaper just as i was a chain smoker. I'm 100% sold on glass tanks now. Every other wick system i tried starts to leak w too much heat.

This is the best wick based system there is IMHO. The only thing better is a cartridge/tank, then RBA's..

I'm learning to like it. I had to change how I draw from it. I take a couple of puffs then draw slowly and it seems to work better. I guess I'm just used to my 306 atty.

really dont mind the airy draw. not a BIG issue. just up the watts or volts a tad and you get a little more vapor. removing one wick is a MUST. i cant get my 50/50 to wick without removing one wick, just the way it goes. in reality we shouldnt have to mod a device to make it work, but in theory it makes sense and works a hell of a lot better. i have had no leaking issues, or anything. great device, out preforms the vivi nova 10/1. huge vapor

i would stay far away from whatever a big tobacco company makes. i can almost guarantee you they will be adding carcinogens into there juice. they are evil evil people and will stop at nothing to make you sick. they don't give a dam about your health. they are in it for the money. I wouldn't even touch anything those asshats make. they are killing people everyday and couldn't careless. yes its the persons choice for smoking, but i still feel they really don't care. they are getting into vaping because they see dollar signs, not to help you get off you cigs.

completely retract what i said about the protank. was working fine on a ego. i put it on my vamo, and no matter what watts i set it at it burns. i took the last top wick out and still just burnt. doesnt leak or anything just cant get it wick. so $19 wasted on something that looks cool but has now become paperweight. its doing the same thing the kanger t3 did. all these bottom coils are a massive waste of time. i am so ...... right now. it was working ok on the ego just not enough power. oh well. kanger hasnt improved anything with these clearos. they have the exact same problem the other ones did. no wicking. not even going to bother with the evod.

Ya don't waste your cash on the protank. Vivi novas aren't that great but work better then the protank. Heard the iclears work better then anything else out there when it comes to a clearo. I am going that route as well. Never had so much trouble vaping before. Been doing it for quite sometime, no matter how much they try to improve something, we still have the same stupid issues we all had in previous versions. I swear these companies like kanger are toying with us. They release the same ....ty atomizer in a cool looking glass tank and they say its improved. I for one need to stop falling for it. Been burned too many times now. The problem is you see all these "reviewers" say how great something is, you get it and it doesn't preform anywhere near how they acted. It's not just me either. The vivi nova has the same stupid problem. Burn city. I have been through 7 heads in the last 46hrs 2.8ohm. They don't wick. Tipping it or not, full or empty.

Sorry so friggin frustrated. Needed to vent.

It has never leaked on me once, I do keep them fairly full most of the time, but I also dont crank up the heat on them either, not with the original coils I don't. Next month, I might try to get some rebuilding supplys, it looks easy enough. I need a good magnifing glass thongh, those coils are small!

One thing that I also do is I alwas keep them sitting up right, if you lay them down, I can see how they would leak more!

did you remove any wicks? I have tried everything cant get it to wick. what vg/pg ratio you using.

also for all you who found the draw airy I was experimenting today. here is what I did to tighten it up. works, still airy and wont wick but better draw then what it was. my lungs hurt from inhaling the nice burn tire taste. gotta put this thing down for now. its killing me.

My experience with ProTank to date is pretty bad. Using the Evod coils has improved slightly the performance but still the flavor is lacking. I removed one of the wicks but now is gurgling after a few draws.
I gave up on it a and will use it only with some tank cracking juice.
I tried and tried to like it but no dice...

same boat. spent a solid 8 hrs today modding this thing. I fail to see the hype about it. works like a kanger t3. hits sometimes majority of the time burnt tire taste. no flavor, no TH no nothing. just like inhaling air when it actually does wick. I have literally watched 23 videos on this today. I give up

Try rebuilding it. If you still hate it. I'd buy it from you.
