Well with FEVs the wire is trapped under screws so the contact is stable, but does limit the size of the wire.
The 510-pin doesn't have spring making a solid contact.
I truly hope Imeo doesn't mind for me rambling about Non-GG-device.

Thank you, sounds indeed like a good TC atty.

I take the blame for the off topic talk, so let's go on topic.

I'd like to read some more experiences with Proteus.

Every day i check the internet serval times looking for the first real review on it, so far without luck. But of course only few people in the world have the device right now.

Exactly, should be no problem.

If I am not mistaken I ever read before Flash-E-vapor atties are actually good TC atties.

And Imeo I understand you need some spare ViR chips, so the chip will not be mass produced. I will buy one anyway, I am for sure on the list for the second batch, so I still have a back-up if I not directly buy one now.
you will wait for the second batch of serials Stun?

and no reviewer too Stun. I suppose that a review will delay enough

I am still not sure what to do, like I said I had it in my shopping basket some times before and then of course I give up my serial number for the second batch.

On the other hand I have spend SO much money on vaping gear lately.

I have bought to many things in the past also I use a while and after that not use anymore, so I feel like I am sometimes loosing / wasting my money.

So i am a bit more careful what to buy lately.

Then again I never doubt about quality of GG products, but like stated before I am not sure it's the best buy for me yet. Allmost € 180,- euro is serious money for me and I need to buy an atty for it ad well.

If i had money growing on my back yard tree it would be a no brainer for me :)

Kinda have to agree, that at the moment money is an issue, luckily don't have to make the decision now beign on the 2nd run.
My problem is that I don't keep my devices safely locked away in a display cabin, but use em in everyday life, with the chance of inflicting some harm to them while doing that.
Never been into collegting things for show only.

2 quick questions:

- what are the most powerful 14500 in the market?

- did somebody calculate the most efficient coil resistance in term of battery life?
efest work very well for me Ottelo.
A 0,3mm-0,35mm at 0,5-0,6 ohm wire works very well too

hi imeo I'm a little disappointed to hear that vir will not be reproduced considering you have spent 4 hard years to give us the safest vaping experience, no doubt you have something else in mind. keep up the good work you know we trust you.
its so small that its not worth it for me Kefton. It worths for you because its a very small and wireless advanced electronic but there is no earning for me at all :)

it seems yes Jail. The work that VIR carries cant be paid. And I cant sell it at 250 euros, that is the minimum amount of money if I want to earn 20 euros from every piece.

But I will supported always as I do with all GG constructions, no one has to worry about that!

I also think a 18500/18650 mod capable of using VIR is a must ... to be honnest, I purchased the proteus, thinking only about his big-borwser-to-come and get the best of VIR and temp regulation :)

I did some research on 14500 battery. Imeo says he has used Efest and AW batteries on Proteus.

I went to Efest website and they only have the purple flat top 14500 battery. I think the battery for Proteus has to be nipple top. Imeo or someone who already has Proteus, can you please clarify this.

I see Efest nipple top batteries being sold at other places such as eBay. But I would like authentic batteries and avoid fake rewrap, rebranded batteries.
The only way to avoid fakes is to buy directly from the company.

I found this 14500 battery:
Sanyo 14500 Protected battery 840mAh li-ion 3.7 V | Orbtronic

The flashlight forums recommended this battery. It measures 52.9 millimeters long.

Imeo, will this battery fit Proteus?

Other 14500 batteries I have seen are just above 51mm long.
