Something you have to know about electronics in general:

At a specific number of watts, we have the following:
The more the amperes we draw from a battery, the more the loss of power to the output
The more the volts, the less the loss of power to the output.
Ampere and volts depend on our resistance, so the bigger the resistance the better on power loss

Ok, here is one more very serious advantage of Proteus that you may not know yet:
Proteus is a step down device too, something that doesnt exist on most electronics out there. So most electronics simply cant vape all the combinations and unfortunately the most common ones.

I will give you an example. This example is close to what most people vape.

watt 12
Resistance 1,0
Volt 3,5
Ampere 3,5

If we put a charged battery that is at 4,2 volts on most electronic devices, a simple "boosting" electronic will not be able to vape it because it cant push voltage down to 3,5 volts.

By only boosting the battery makes its life shorter and it reduces your vaping time too. Also you are not allowed to vape any combination you like as you see.

aal your wraps are based around a 1.5mm rod correct? Thanks

What kind of wire are you using? Forget the ohms at the moment and consider this, to spare batteries on a VV/VW you have to go thin wire because thin wire heats up faster therefore you spare batteries by reducing your watts. Watts is what dictates battery life. for me a sweet spot of 16 watts of 28 gauge wire was achieved by 9 watts of 32 gauge wire HOWEVER both covering the same amount of wick (3.2mm is what i go for which is 10 wraps of 28 and 16 wraps of 32 both with id = 1.5). Now for some calculations: 16 wraps of 32 will give around 4.7 ohms which at 8 volts allows you to go up to 13.5 watts, which is well above my sweet spot at 9 watts giving me some room. To spare batteries ALWAYS aim at highest voltage limits this way it forces you to use thinner gauge wires for higher ohms and lower wattage.

Problem, problem: Some people (including me unfortunately) notice a flavor difference between thin and thick wires. Thick wire give me better flavor. I would say go with the thin wire, don't be afraid to go 3.0+ ohms, this is what will spare your batteries, but if you notice a flavor problem and you are used to 28- wires then tough luck, go with the 30 or 29 and target it will be a trade-off.

My never changing constant for single coil is the width (microcoil of course), sweet spot being 3.2mm I will post a small chart for people interested to know how many wraps this turns out to be:

I normally use 30 gauge wire aal and usually coil to 1 ohm. I'm using silica so not a micro coil just normal wraps. I was hopeing to use 32 gauge but coiling to 1ohm doesn't give a lot of wick coverage so tonight I made a coil of 1.8 ohms using 32 gague wire but to me it just isn't as good a vape.

Have you considered using dual coil?

1.8 ohms on mech?

Aal the specs probably are correct, I don`t doubt that, but making a microcoil with 20 wraps of 34 gauge wire? That`s gonna be very hard...

With tension wrapping it's not hard. I don't have a pic for 34 but this is 19 wraps of 33 gauge at 6.5 ohms.

7.5 watts gives you vapor that competes with subohm coils.
