got my proteus last week and tried several setups.
i´ll tried with a titanium wire i had already for a while.
i was dissapointed, because vir doesn´t works well.
burned taste and battery life for just about 10-15 minutes.
so i decided to buy real titanium wire grade 1.
today i made my first wick, 6 wraps around 2.5mm screwdriver of 0.3mm wire.
and now i got all advantages of proteus.
the taste of my penny v4 is unbelievable.
just opened the liquidcontrol one turn.
no problems with burned taste at 230°C, full taste and a lot of flavour.
vaped till the tank was empty and proteus quit firing as expected, battery life for around one hour with my aw batteries.
now i am expecting a new button housing for esterigon

This Ti issue is all over the place. To my opinion, better all customers buy from my sellers to be sure all the time that they vape the real stuff
that´s a fact imeo.
it´s important to have real grade 1 wire.
and it´s important to have a spaced coil as well.
then vir runs perfect and gives a save vape.
Imeo, does VIR work with the (new) Zirconium springs?
Probably not, cause if I am not mistaken it only works with titanium, but it's worth the shot anyway.

The only issue for now is that my engineer missed to put program to all chips. Anyway, I will suffer for this but its nothing in front of 4 years waiting! lol

... Blackwater my friend, imeo means that he missed a small part of them, otherwise no Proteus would work!!! But you're right. The way he wrote it can change the meaning.
from time to time my Proteus does not fire and blinks red five times after releasing the button. This is especially reproducible when I vape and (more or less) immediately push the button again.
Sometimes this happens also after not using it for a minute and Proteus does not seem to get out of this state until I unscrew the venting cap and put it on again.
As your instructions do not state what the "five red blinks" mean it would be good to know what this means as I'd like to figure out where this problem (basically it's a kind of random "fires/fires not" experience) is coming from.
