Limited as to what I have to work with, and I don't have the font but this is about as close as I could get
je9u5yvy.jpg

I really like this basic design, but have a few suggestions.

1 – If the spacing was increased between the letters of Provarinati, it would be easier to read.

2 - LUMEN SEES TOTUS should be inverted, so that it’s readable when Provarinati is at the top.

3 – Unless all of the engraving is blackened, two vent holes should be put outside the circle. One on each side. The holes are going to appear black while the engraved circle will be silver.

4 – MADE IN THE U.S.A. should be engraved on the outer rim of the cap. I want to be able to see it.

These are just my opinions. It’s how my mind’s eye sees how the cap “should” look. As a lowly Provarinati monk, I will abide by the decisions of Sir PoM and the grand council.

I respect and appreciate everyone's hard work on this. For fun, I made a circle the exact size of the end cap and put just the triangle and Provarinati logo and it is really small to see...........

cap.jpg

I am good with simple on the bottom, something on the rim and something inside near/around the spring.

EDIT: my picture is half of the size of what it was on my computer monitor.

The stuff I'm posting is moreless me playing with some really basic programs just to try and let me see a generalization of what I may or may not like. "Just trying to get an idea" this way. I don't have access to any of the CAD or Good Graphic programs here. I noticed that A couple of us were throwing out the same sort of ideas so I went ahead and posted the pics. But all this really is some layering programs and adjusted size "guestimations." I'm guessing that whatever design is decided would have to be reworked in autodesk for the exact specs and machining process.

You might check into "GIMP." It's a freeware photo editing program available online. I've not tried it, but I know other people who have used it and were happy with the features.

When I get home tonight I will (probably) have time to sit down and work in some of the suggestions. Keep the curved "Provarinati" logo, redo the triangle so it's equilateral, adjust the background circle so there's room for vent holes, rework the new eye with the ProVari pupil and see if that makes it look any better, and pick a legible font for the lumen sees totus.

We'll put the "Made in the U.S.A. on either the rim of the end cap, or inside around the spring hole. This will separate it from the Provarinati aspects of the design.

How does that sound?

Edit:
I'll do one of each, one with the new eye (revised), and one with the old eye style, but I think we're getting close to having a final design that most of us can agree on.

From what I've seen the split is about 50/50 on donations, so how about we just have the donations go half and half to WWP and CASAA?

I'm confused why we are considering putting "Made in U.S.A." on it. Anyone interested in a ProVari learns that selling point very quickly. ProVari has it prominently printed on the new display box and if they thought it was necessary, they would already have it etched somewhere on the device.

Please don't be mad at me but I had to read to figure out what that was first, I thought it was the picture of a porker on that cap.

Thank you! I'll look into it!
I have all kinds of cool, fun toys on my laptop, in the lab. Where I can't get to it, for another week or so. :(
I use cad, inventor, photoshop and dreamweaver.
But I've been stuck with my iPhone, iPad and kindle.
I'm gonna check the App Store and android place. If not I'll have to check it out when the I have the laptop back.
Thank you though, I'm always looming for new design stuff to play with

Edit: just realized the name of the program. Now I have to have it!!! Lmao :) :)

I was about to ask the same thing, even Provape doesn't put "made in the USA anywhere on the ProVari, we know it is made in the US.

We have a small piece of real estate to work with I truly think less is more, if we have our Provarinati logo and the eye of enlightenment on there that should be plenty.
Why are we trying so hard to explain to the non believers.

Same here.. but if I click on your attachment, it's actual size..

At least on my settings...

To make this doable, it's probably going to have to be large, spaced-out & simple...

What kind of black ceramic glaze? I have a kiln and could give it a try but I don't know what to use on stainless steel. I do know that stainless steel will discolor in temperatures higher than 950 degrees so they would all have to be cleaned up after.

Okay I found my glazes they are all Duncan, 1 DN 816 Black underglaze, 2 GL 619 Black Luster ceramic gloss glaze, and 3 GL 613 Opaque black. The first & the third are over glaze compatible, but if I remember correctly I liked the black luster the most, I am just not sure, how well these would work on stainless, they are made for ceramics. Like I said it was just a thought.

KAS

I forgot the 1st and 3rd fire with a cone 4, and 2nd fires with a cone 6, I don't remember what temp those are

Hi Ryan,

Here are the details for the lettering around the edge of the end cap: as far as line width, we need at
least a .010"-.015" wide line and we need at least that much in between lines.

Kindly,
David

So we are looking at a minimum line thickness that is approximately 15 thousandths, or about three times the width of a human hair. So the finest lines on the Provarinati ambigram might end up twice as thick as they are now. I find that an acceptable margin, especially if the spacing between the letters is increased.

Draft 2:
ENDCAPFinalDraft2_zps522f2d69.gif

Looks like these might be final drafts, With only the spacing between the letters and the "knobs" on each letter to be addressed. :) The "final" final version of the "Provarinati" logo will follow the curve of the outer ring much more closely. ...and most likely be slightly larger as well.

Draft 2 is the one I would choose.
