I told that person that I was glad that he was so happy with his Vamo. (Let's see if he is still happy with it six months from now.)
However, was Rickajho being untruthful that the Vamo will fail and fall apart on him? Probably not. This is a $40-$50 mod and it is not exactly built to last. Historically the top connector is made of cheap soft metal which often stops holding juice attachments; to the point that Vamo owners encourage new owners to get a 510-to-510 adaptor to protect the original threads from wearing out. The black chrome finish is notorious to wear off within a couple of month's use. If the proud owner had done his research on the Vamo he would have found this out on his own.
Well, welcome to internet message boards. Where it is easy to misjudge a person's comments and tone without hearing a person's voice and inflection. Opinions vary from one person to the next. How odd that I knew exactly what Rickajho was talking about as his description of the Vamo is quite common knowledge. It wasn't what was said, it was the way it was said. In that condescending smug I'm better than you and upset you're happy with a mod other than provari tone.
MVP is fairly close to the same vape. If the vape was that much better on the Provari, owners wouldn't be using other devices- which they sometimes do.
I'll just rewire my MVP. Electronics aren't that hard. But thanks guys. I can't do 160-180 on it though. I'll take that money and drip like a boss and buy tons of juice.
RJmod CATs and MVP 2.0
I fixed that for you
I have other devices; an Empire Mod, a custom, one of a kind Phiniac box mod that takes two 18650s and has VV, and a Magneto clone.
Of those, the first two were won, the first at Vapercon 2013 and the second on a contest right here on the forums.
I bought the Magneto clone as a backup in case anything ever does happen to the Provari.
As nice as the first two are, theyre all sitting in my desk drawer untouched other than trying them out.
They just dont vape as well.
I'll beg to differ. In my city vaping is catching on quickly. One can see more and more mods being used in the vape shops and B&M's. Yes, the commonly found mechanical and regulated mods commonly sold in these stores are most often seen. But for a mod which is not seen sold within 150 miles from here, I'm seeing a surprising number of Provari's being used.Nah, I'd go as far as "often".
I'm certain that Provape will work to solve your problem. They have stellar customer service, and will do everything possible to solve the problem for you to save you from having to send the Provari in for repair. Give them a chance.I purchased my first Provari and it won't read the atomizer correctly. Contacted Provape last night and waiting on a response. I tried everything from tightening the atomizer, unscrewing a 1/4 turn. All my tanks work in my VTR and Vamo so I'm kinda ...... off.

You weren't specific about why it wasn't reading the atomizer correctly. What does the Provari LED display say when you check the ohm rating? The Provari tests "under load", so you will see two readings. The first is the atomizer not under load, and the second reading is under load.
Since the Provari checks resistance under load, turn your voltage down to 3 volts and then check the resistance.Kept reading Lo and would occasionally come in at 0.8 then go to Lo. Was reading 1.8 on my Vamo/VTR.

When the batteries go dead in the MVP 4-5 months from now what are you going to do with it?
My Provari is over 2 years old and still works as flawlessly today as the day it was purchased.
It also delivers a better vape and thats been proven on an oscilloscope for those who cant taste it themselves.
Thats why.
If you ever try one for more than 15 minutes you'll understand.
