yup ... $200 is a sweet price for a device that will likely last for 10+ years :smokie:

The Radius will suit the needs of many out there for various reasons... Equally, there will be many who find it will not. The good thing is, we are at a point in the industry where there are plenty of choices in devices for everyone's taste, needs, and budget. :)

That said, let's keep this thread polite and civil for all involved. ;)

ProVape's service and support are fantastic, but this box is very 2014. I understand that the specs are fine for many vapers, but 0.3-ohm and 9.5 amp limits are deal-breakers for some vapers. Aesthetically, I don't like the ribbing on the polycarbonate shell; aside from that, it's a good looking box. All that said, I can see myself getting the white model, because, you know, 'Murrica!!!

What are you currently vaping on?

Watts, Tank, etc...

Thanks, Jim

PS You should really link to your blog on this device too.

I usually have at least four mods in rotation. It changes depending on mood and for particular juices -- VW boxes, mechanical tubes, mechanical boxes (parallel), RDAs, and RTAs. Wattage is anywhere from 25 to 80, depending on build and juice.

The blog post stemmed from a debate I was having with a juice maker. He's completely anti-Radius. I understand his issues with it, but believe it appeals to many vapers. As requested, here's a link to some random thoughts on the ProVari Radius.

A lot of talk about technical features. I'd like to hear from someone who has dropped it 20 times from the waist onto concrete.

I'm not trying to instigate anything. The poly-carbonate and framework are just still a question for me. Is there a test report out there somewhere?

Thanks

Edit: I thought about my initial question/concern and I should explain a bit more. First, are we promoting it like it is the same level of construction as the tube model? Also, I understand that the dropping of it would scratch, dent, etc., but would it still perform to its high standard? Those questions, for me, will lead me to consider the cost better. For those that are receiving the Radius, or a Provape rep, I'd be grateful to hear from.

Thanks

Completely agree. My daily vape is an RTA at around one ohm, so the performance is more than enough for me. I don't necessarily expect the Radius to be as tough as the Provari tube mods (there are stories of those being fine after being run over by a truck, falling from a several story building, etc.), but it would be nice to have some idea of how much of a beating it will take before dropping $200 on it.

Loving the radius so far. The chip is amazingly smooth. I get a smoother vape with the radius than I do with my DNA 40s. That says a lot.

Same here, I run most at .82 ohms and the vape is outstanding. I know it is impossible but the battery life seems to be better then other mods I own. Still getting use to no click when I press the fire button :)

RPAD, I read your review and a couple thoughts. This being my first Provari I have to say that the mod is right up there with my DNA40 and SX350J and M chip. I think they are every bit in 2015 with the exception of TL.

Not everyone is vaping below .3 ohms, honestly I believe the majority are vaping above that limit.

It's a quality device with a lot of functionality. Granted I can't vape a dual Clapton on it but that's not what the device was designed for or part of Provari's business plan. They haven't perfected (or any else) TL so why dip your feet into the water unless you are going to do it right. That is Provari's MO from what I understand, trying to do things right.

I can't be called a fanboy since I'm new to the device but other then not having TL it's a damn fine device and worth what I paid for it, in my opinion.

No disrespect intended!

I heard ProVape beat the $#!% out of them :smokie:
