Cool beans!! Thanks!!

Black tie has crystals...I don't have that particular tank from them, I just made one like it. I have three of their tanks and they are very durable believe it or not. Much more durable than mine (I have to re-glue crystals on mine every once in awhile and have never had to with cirrus) but I can make it for $15 so don't mind:D.

I wanted to get a black extended cap for my mini stealth. Does the one provape sells match the black coating on the stealth or do I have to purchase it from VF? I'm placing an order with provape for other items and I'd rather just get it there for free shipping.

ProVape, probably not If you're wanting the exact match. The Stealth is triple coated matte.

Okay, that's what I was wondering if the extended cap was triple coated as well on VF... I do have a regular black mini and the black coating on it isn't quite as dark. Thank you :)

It's interesting, my mini Stealth is a teeny bit lighter than the full sized. You wouldn't notice it though, unless they were side by side.

Well, I went ahead and ordered the extension cap from VF because I want it to match the stealth as closely as possible.

This isn't a cross-post as much as a cross topic. I was looking into ProVari finishes earlier and came upon this post, in a thread asking if ProVari are powder coated.

"Follow up since I got an email from Cecilia. So far, I've never seen service on weekend nights in any other industry, had a juice order process and ship saturday night... but i digress

Provaris recieve three coats of cerakote. Count em! One, two, five... err Three!

If you want to touch up a scratch, or clearcoat or even color a silver provari with the air-dry kit, that will not void your warranty.

As the units come to provari, they say the actual final cureing is not complete on the store shipped (baked) units for about 6-8 weeks.

For the air-dry, she said that that final cure isn't over for 30 days.

She recommends that until the cures are finally set (2months for retail, 30days for DIY air cure) to treat the units with care.

I've never heard of cure times that long, but I'll follow provape's recommendations."

I was under the impression that the triple coated finish was something unique to the Stealth version, but it appears not to be the case.

So the unique features are black caps, a button that doesn't light up and a darkened LED screen? I'm glad my money went to a good cause, but $75 more, plus the added shipping charge, seems a bit steep if those are the only special features.

This is why I haven't bought one yet. When the whole Steath thing started I read that same post and thought the same thing. I guess I'm holding out for the HAIII version. Then we can own a Provari that truly conforms to some kind of real Mil-Spec.

I have a Stealth full size, but I've never seen a satin black in person, so I can't tell you if the difference would be immediately noticeable. I can tell you that the Stealth is very impressive. I bought mine from a guy who has other ProVaris and was selling it because he had only used it twice and felt it was too cool to use, so it was just sitting it it's case. I thought that was funny, since it's even more durable than a regular ProVari, so it would be silly not to use it. Guess what? I have a hard time using it too. It is so smooth that from a distance it looks like velvet. Maybe I will be more inclined to use it when it's Serenity sleeve arrives, but these puppies really are showpieces.

Does the Stealth Mini come in a case?

best regards, larry mac
