The new bit of GG gear will be the Odysseus - rebuildable atomizer/tank system. I can't wait to get my hands on one. Couple that with a Kick and I'll be in vape heaven.

Actually the Oddyseus is a rebuildable atty tank and a ufs(uses 510 atties or CE2's) and just a small dripping atomizer, and the rebuildable section can be used in the current UFS. Very modular system. Since Provape has no native tank, I am getting the rebuildable atty tank and the dripping atomizer sections.

Yes it stays magnetized to the battery, never had any issue. I got them from Deal Extreme some time ago, they cost nothing, but I am sure you can get them somewhere closer by bro, sorry dunno where. You only need one, sure some of the US members can hook you up with one.

Thanks, emonty. Two questions, does the magnet stay magnetized to the battery so when you pull the battery out, the magnet comes out also?

Also, where did you acquire them?

Thanks much. I LOVE this PV!!

They are 6 to 7 mm in diameter and 1 mm thick bro

I see that 18mm in diameter X 2 or 3mm in thickness is what is being sold on the web. Is this the right size? If someone has a few, id be more than happy to send them a self-addressed stamped envelope and a dollar if they can part with one. :)

This device has worked flawlessly since owning it, but after 2 wks of using the chrome Provari, some of the chrome has peeled off above the O on the logo. I understand chrome is a plating but 2 weeks of use? Maybe the laser etching cuts into the chrome making it to susceptible to peeling. From what I understand when chroming steel it has to be nickel plated first so the chrome can adhere better. I emailed David about it. Maybe he has some tubes w/o the logo. The finish would be just as nice as the chrome with just a polished stainless steel finish without the chance of the chrome peeling off. It must be under warranty because the only Provari that has a disclaimer about the finish is the gold plated version.
Provape ended up sending me a replacement chrome since they said it must have been a bad batch but it has started peeling on exactly the same spot, above the logo. Once it starts peeling it just keeps growing. I understand the durability of a plating but I really thought it wouldn't happen so soon this time. I'm going to have it replaced with the satin blue led version this time.

I had a problem with my satin finish after it came back from Provape a few months ago after repair, it was running battery's down in record time like within 1 hour or some time after that, the red led would start to flash I sent it back to David and have received it back within 8 days........ that is a fantastic service and I would like to thank David on the forum for replacing it with a chrome one at my request. Now you cannot beat that for customer service. Fantastic thank you David.

The guys have superb customer service.

One a note about the Chrome peeling, I wonder if it is the etching that is causing it to peel? I assume it is laser etching and it looks like it follows the top line of the lettering.
I believe the laser etching is the cause of the peeling but also may be what the initial coat under the chrome is because it seems to not adhere to it very well. If Provari would just have the ss mirror polished it would have the same effect. And because the chrome is into the threads I had to use an sharp exacto blade to get the excess chrome off in the threads because the extended cap wouldn't smoothly screw on until the threads were cleared.

Provape does have excellent customer service. They respond to issues very quickly and I have the satin version en route with a couple of items they've thrown in for the trouble. They did say they weren't to happy with the quality of the current metal plating service they use at the moment.

So my ProVari is great!!! Ive had it for a few months and LOVE IT (upgraded from an eGo, then VMod, then lastly the Epower) !I just purchased a tube mod for my cousin for Xmas (can't afford to buy him a ProVari!) but when I tried my LR MA306 in the dca on that mechanical mod, it seemed to hit better (more vapor and flavor) than mine at any voltage...

Why is that? Does my ProVari need maintenance? Or is that just the advantage of a mechanical (prodigy) to a unit like the ProVari? Thanks for helping and sorry if a question like this was asked. There are so many posts it's almost impossible to do a search or search for the right keywords for the right answer.

I'd say it could be the dca setup works better on the other device... because of what? there may be some elusive variables.
i.e. I found a 2.2 SR 510 on a Phidias which hits differently for some undetectable reasons... actually the Phid has a unique vape for a 3.7.
Or like a few days ago, I put a 1.7 i06 on my Provari and it was too hot even at 3.3v... i put it on a usb eGo 650 mah batt and it was fantastic; vapor and flavor....
I got a higher resistance i06 and raised the voltage on the Vari to get a better taste out of the i06.
Could be that some atty/pv matches are just made for each other...
I used to say the Vari (or any great high end regulated VV) would give you the best vape out of "any" atomizer or carto... i still think it's true; but in a general sense. But that's notwithstanding the above.
If I'm right, I don't know why.
But I still know the Provari is top of the heap imo. In general.

Thanks. I appreciate ur quick reply!!!
I just ordered an I06 on attempts to make an atty tank! I hope it works as well as it would on another device...

I'll just not try it on another so don't get disappointed. I don't want to spend money yet again on a cheaper "backup" tube mod (precise or prodigy?

I am kind of curious,.. I "feel" like I had better Vaping experience when I first put the ma306 on it and it slowly decreased. *Sigh*. I don't know. It's probably just me... This Vaping experimentation never ends...

Glad it's not just me, my GGTS hits better than my Provari too - most of the time.

That's from the battery drop-off, something that you don't get with the Provari.
