Hi getting a provari from my friend with variable voltage wanted to order some stuff for it from gotvapes. but need help understanding the ohms and which ones to get heard u want something like 3.0ohm. need some help understanding the difference with ohms thanks.

1.5-1.8ohm atties are low resistance, they burn hotter and raise the amps through the atty. They are only good to about 4v. Standard resistance atties are 2.0-2.5 ohm. They are good from 3.7v to about 5.7v. High Voltage atties are 2.8v-4.5ohm. They are good for 5.0-6.5v.

Using HV atties at too low a voltage will reduce the atties output because the atty won't get hot enough. Using LR atties at too high a voltage will make the Provari Error out because it wants too many amps.

You can use the standard resistance atties across the range, but too low or too high a voltage will produce less.

i prefer SR (regular) 2.2 to 2.8 (as much as 3.1 Ohm)... that way you don't trip amp limiter E2 error, and you get the widest range of voltages to play with.

Ok great I order some attys from 2.8ohm all they way up too 3.6. If anyone has any ideas please let me know only been vapen for a month now so I am a newbie lol. Thanks all

I personally use the 3.5ohm atties. I vape at 5.7v mostly though. You will notice that after a week or so the resistance will gradually drop. 3.5 ohms to start means it can drop quite a bit before the atty becomes just unusable. Of course, as the atties resistance drops over time, you will want to lower your voltage in a manner that keeps the vape consistent. I use my atties for up to 2 months apeice without issue.

Good range for the Vari... you must be familiar with "dripping 101" the basics of dripping... imo it's the best way to vape.
Main thing; Not too many drops... 3 or 4 will do, and blow out any primer or vape it out without inhaling.

i like dse 901 attys. and do yourself a favor and get a tapered Pyrex drip tip ... they are the ultimate d/t for dripping.

When you change out or put on a new atty, make sure you know what voltage the Vari is set on... if it's set high and you have a lower range resistance atty, it could fry it before you know it.

Yea, with the resistance it's not something you need to keep tabs on really. IF you notice it starting to burn hotter, just drop the voltage a point or 2. It's the beauty of variable voltage. Being able to get an ideal AND consistent vape.

I get my atomizers from Ikenvape. Hands down the best atomizers I have ever used. I have a 3 month old atomizer from them still hitting great. If you want TONS of vapor, they have the Cannon series, which is an 801 atomizer(superior flavor and vapor production) with 510 threads. 801's are juice hogs though and take a bit to prime.

I would NOT be the person to ask about the Liquinator. Personally I think that all these CE2 and Cartomizer tanks are a god-awful fad that should go down in history as the crappiest e-cig idea, ever. We all know that CE2's are just awful, yet for the sake of convenience people just deal with it. Cartomizer tanks like the liquinator are the same way. They are sacrificing flavor for convenience. Everyone knows that cartomizers mute flavor. The only people who disagree with that point are people who haven't actually dripped. A "poor mans UFS" is being worked on, that I think will revolutionize the tanks. Basically its a tank mod that will use a regular atomizer.

That having been said, if I was going to use a cartomizer, I would ONLY use one with a tank. The reason is simple. Cartomizers will ALWAYS mute flavor as long as they use the filler material. but they taste best when they are freshly filled and wet. The tank makes them perform like a freshly filled carto from start to finish.

Well said Dalton! I myself have been a die hard dripper for the last 2 1/2 years. I recently switched to a liquinator setup and love it! I don't know how long you have been dripping or vaping for that matter, but I for one dripped all I can stand and I can't stands no more :p Anywho, I am over the "work" that comes along with dripping... Bottles, tissue and the pulling out and refilling incessantly... I still agree with all you mentioned... A tank set up is all I need so vaping does NOT dictate how my day is run...

I still drip, because I just can't get into having my flavors muted. I do have a VPX tank, that I modified to use a regular atomizer. Basically just shorten the tank tube(atomizers are shorter than cartos) and use a 1/32" drill bit to put a VERY TINY hole in the side of the atomizer. The hole is small enough that the joose won't just run in and flood the atomizer, but gets pulled in when you draw.

Sounds like a win/win! Pm inc.

I still think the CE2's in a tank are the best for me. And now that I have the Provari, its even better. I never dripped because I felt it was too much work.

I could never get the CE2 tank mods to work without changing the flavor of my juice in a bad way-

For you guys waiting on the new batteries, I've been testing them out head 2 head against the IMRs and recording the volume of juice I go through on each battery- normally I drip/vape between 4 and 6ml/day -
Started with a fresh/new IMR and a fresh/new Provape 2500 mAh battery. YMMV but here's some data so far:

First off the new High performance springs with the IMRs seem to offer a bit of improvement- The battery works smoothly down to between 3.4 and 3.3V before it starts flashing the low battery warning. I didn't want to abuse the new battery so I didn't run it to shut off but it was good enough for me. Tested 3x so far and vaping 4.0-4.2 ml of juice on each charge... for reference, My older IMRs that I've been cycling through since December are only giving me 3 to 3.5ml (maybe they've seen better days)....

More exciting- the 2500 mAh battery seems to be getting better after a few runs- My first run gave me 7.2ml- when it started flashing- my most recent run took the better part of 2 days and got me through 8.2ml of juice. This is almost double the run time of the IMRs- Finally I can leave home in the morning with a fresh battery and not worry about having a spare nearby- even if its going to be a long day.

From what I understand they should be available by the end of next week.

I received my first Provari. I love it. I was surprised by how small it is. The way everyone talked I thought it was gonna be as thick as my silver bullet. It is nowhere near that thick. I love the satin and glad I got that finish. I think it will hold up well in my pocket.

Anyone who wants the case logic diabetic case better get it from walgreen's, because I called Case Logic and they are discontinued!

Provape's packaging left much to be desired though. It was thrown in a box wrapped in a little bubble wrap with some packing peanuts. The extension cap was just thrown in a ziploc and thrown in the box. You would think for $180 I'd get a little better packaging. That's my only complaint, though. The device so far ROCKS!
