I've been looking at getting the MVP due to it's low price of 40$, but I've heard alot about the ProVari as well, but for some reason, the website won't load, so I can't see it's features. I know its an ego-style vs the boxmod MVP, but what are the performance differences? battery life isn't too important, as I'm always near an outlet.

Well, you can get the solid MVP 2 for $40 bucks including a tank, charging cable, all that.

Or.

You can get a ProVari with no tank, no batteries, no charger, just a tube (which, granted, I've heard has some of the most solid build quality and circuitry around) for ~$200+

I think it depends on exactly how .... you are, and how much money you have to spend.

I have both the first generation MVP and a standard size Provari. I love both. I love the Provari MORE, but not because I paid more for it. To myself, it is totally worth the extra money. So much so that I purchased a Mini Provari, and it has become my main PV. I have it set up so that it can accept all three battery sizes (18350, 18490, & 18650).

My live-in son has recently taken over my standard size Provari, but that's a good thing. It's the only PV out of 9 choices that I own that he will use. Whatever keeps him off of the smokes is how I feel. He's a new vapor, and even he can tell the Provari is a better PV.

Both are durably made with attention to detail, although the Provari much more so. If I dropped the MVP, I would be concerned about it being broken and not be able to repair it. I have accidentally dropped both of my Provari's multiple times onto concrete, tile and hardwood floors from 3 feet and they continue to work like a tank. And even if one had broke, I could have sent it to Provape to have it repaired (inexpensively I might add) and had it back within a week's time.

Both are pocket-friendly, but the Provari more so. Vape-wise, both are comparable, but the Provari just fits the best in my hand so that is the one that I just naturally reach for. The button on the MVP is slightly stiff to press and sometimes difficult to find in the dark; the Provari's button has just the right amount of pressure required to activate, is easy to find even in the dark.

The Provari has a much better display window, and at least for myself is easier to go through the different function modes than the MVP.

From the forum, small number of MVP's have had to have their center pin posts pulled up in order to accept some juice attachments. I've never had a problem with either of my Provari's accepting any 510-threaded attachments (I don't use eGo-threaded attachments on my Provari's because they would need a 510-eGo adaptor).

Due to the fact that the MVP is ultimately a disposable PV (1 - 1 1/2 years?) because of the irreplaceable battery, the best long term choice for me is the Provari. Due to the lifetime support by the Provari's manufacturer I expect to be using my Provari's for many, many years.

You also want to consider what voltage/wattage you vape at. The MVP only goes up to 5V. If you are a standard cartomizer (3ohm) the 5v may not do it for you. I like the MVP but my main setup uses a 3ohm boge carto/tank and 5.2-5.3v is my sweet spot. If price is a factor and having the full 6v available power then I would look at the Smok SID or the newest Vamo version. Also, the Innokin SVD but I have gone thru 2 in the past 6 months both had the power button start misfiring.
If your price point ever goes higher, than by all means the Provari is a great investment. The one I purchased 3 years ago still works perfectly every single time. Good luck, whichever device you decide to order.

Actually, my current voltage is about 3.3/3.4

MVP2 for me too. I think I may get something that uses rechargeable and replaceable batteries once the mvp starts showing any issues. I bought a second one to have as a back up in case something bad happens to the first and will use that as a back up to what ever i get next, hopefully in a year or more. For now I am spending money on juices and different topper types :) Lots more fun for me than what battery I am using hehe

I own both. I don't regret buying either. As a matter of fact, as I sit here typing this, I have both of them on the desk in front of me.

When the MVP dies, I throw it away and buy another one. When the battery in my Provari dies, I buy another $10 battery.

Which would I recommend? Whichever is your pleasure, and whichever fits your budget.
