i was debating on the Provari vs Vmax vs Lavatube (Lambo mod ), I went with the Vmax recently due to the price difference. A lot of people have reviewed all 3 and the Vmax is the one that comes close to the Provari. I picked up the Vmax V2 from CCV and it works like a champ. has the Blue Led display with Pink letters for the voltage display, it can read the ohms of the atty attached, balances the power, pretty much everything that the Provari does. The Provari wins due to build quality and how solid it feels ( one of my coworkers has one so have used it and it does feel solid ). The Vmax does seem to crank out a little bit more power than my Rev3, and more than what it should but it seems its due to the power management in the device. i can vape at 3.5 volts and it seems like 4+ volts. I was able to get clouds of vapor off of an 80pg/20vg mix at less than 4v, whereas with the Rev3 i had to have it cranked up to 6volts and almost burn the juice to get some vapor ( i know this device is not one that you are comparing and it doesnt compare at all ). Battery life on the Vmax is amazing, I have been using the same set of batteries since yesterday at 5pm, and the voltage meter in the Vmax still says i have 7v left on charge. ( thats over 24 hrs, and i have gone thru 3 tanks so far in that amount of time, and going on a 4th ). If you are trying stay under 100 dollars go with the Vmax v2 ( Crystalclearvaping.com Allaboutvapor.com both have the v2 ).
also when you put the batteries in this one it does start at 3.0 volts, not 5volts like alot of reviews on youtube show, they were reviewing the older version of the Vmax. if you budget allows you to spend 240, go with the Provari.
