Well price not being an issue Which of the 2 do you like the best? Zmax or Provari?

Here's my........
Sure you cant set it to 4 volt and expect the exact same experience as a ProVari, it hits warmer, but isn't that to be expected? Different technology, different experience. That's like saying the Bliss is worse than the Zen because of the tight draw, or X juice is better than Y juice.. its all different, different experiences.. its not better or worse, its just different.
.........
Just my 2c
Here's my
4.2 volts should mean 4.2 volts regardless of the device you're using.
If you're paying the bucks for a display, the numbers should be reasonably accurate. If a reading of 4.2v is meaningless why have it?
If they can't make it read voltage or wattage accurately they should just have bars that indicate less or more instead of telling people that it reads output voltage.
I can see spending the bucks for a quality built and accurate device like a Provari
I can see spending much less for a disposable but accurate device like a Twist
I can't see spending upwards of $100 on somthing that is built cheeply and is as innacurate as a Zmax
but that's just my thinking. If you really really need a PV with a display flashing meaningless numbers...have fun with it.
I think you misunderstand as their is no fanboyism going on here. I'll spend my money on 50 different products and not cater to one in particular.
New vapers, who can easily go back to analogs (like I did last year when I bought a crappy device) should know the differences of each as well as their strengths and weaknesses. You're right, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a Zmax/Vmax...but the build quality isn't that of a Provari, and that is simple fact. That should be important to anyone new to this because the last thing anyone needs who just quit smoking is to buy a product that may fail on them six months down the road. That's being completely objective, economically feasible, and realistic.
With that said, a new vaper shouldn't be reaching for a Zmax, a Provari, a Darwin or anything else VV/VW unless they are completely comfortable with using such devices, and most are not. They should start with a Silver Bullet or an Ego kit. However, the OP wanted to know which to buy,a Provari or Zmax...and to be quite honest...the Provari is the better product all around. And that doesn't take a fanboy to say so with confidence.
100-130 bucks... a device that is great and may/may not last the duration. Has a six month warranty.
200-250 bucks...a device that is excellent that has an optional 2 year warranty and has been proven to be bulletproof.

So i'm assuming you don't have a zMax... It's quite an awesome device, I use it daily, more than my ProVari.. but that's just my preference. Built solid, accurate under load (esp on VW setting). You should use one once, you might like it. I'm not going to debate this further (definitely not here) because you have obviously made up your mind and debating would just be a waste of my time and anyone else who has to read this.
I try to be objective specifically when new vapers come around. I try not to take the elitist approach, and instead offer impressions of both. I'd like to think we are a supportive group of members that embrace each persons likes and dislikes, not a group of fanboys or brand followers bashing any differing opinion that comes up. I try really hard to show new vapers that there are in fact options, great options out there that are affordable. I like to ask what their primary concern is and cater to that while highlighting the pros and cons, as I believe I did in my posts. I think this is most useful to new vapers and shows our willingness to help and be supportive. The last thing I would want to do is turn a new vaper off to something that might suite their needs. After all, im not going to tell someone their Honda is horrible because its not a Mercedes, especially if the Mercedes doesn't suite their needs.
so lets take the bashing elsewhere, PM me if you like, start a thread.. lets just not show someone new that we are a bunch of bickering fanboys..
I think we have the same goal of giving honest opinions and to share our experience with new users. Please don’t take my comments on wishing for some semblance of accuracy in voltage or wattage displays as a personal insult.
As an engineer, in my line of work accurate numbers and readings are critical. As I said, if the Zmax didn’t make a false claim about what their readings represent and went with a “power bar” graphic or 0-10 graphic, I’d have no problem with it. But when unsuspecting people assume that a 4.2V reading is going to actually vape like 4.2 volts and not a much higher value as is the case with the Zmax then I call the manufacturer out on that…. especially when there are devices both more expensive and much less expensive that supply accuracy and live up to their claims.
As far as being a "fanboy", name calling is uncalled for. I'm not pushing ANY product, but just trying to give the pros and con's of several products mentioned and the benifit of my experience and research.
In other words, lets not continue bickering about which opinion is better in a forum that doesn't serve that purpose, we will end up sounding like fan boys. I didn't say "you are being a fan boy", it was quite emphatically a "we".digunderground said:lets just not show someone new that we are a bunch of bickering fanboys..
Nope, a quality device set to 4 volts should vape like 4v it shouldn't hit warmer or cooler. If it claims to be variable voltage accruate to 0.1v setting increments then at that price it's reasonable to expect that those settings should be accurate. Other quality devices on the market can acheive that, they should be able to also.Sure you cant set it to 4 volt and expect the exact same experience as a ProVari, it hits warmer or cooler, but isn't that to be expected?
I wasn't aware of that.oh, this just in..
GOD "Provari is the best, because it uses baby eagle tears for solder"
Have a nice dinner.can we please move on now, i have things to do... like eat, or DIY some mods, or something other than this.. lol
I just posted a review and mentioned that. Zmax Final Conclusion - YouTube Youed be silly to pass up a Provari for a Zmax! Having said that If you wait for the Z2 Z3 Z4 you'd be better off ;-)
Provari is still the raining king of available VV Mods. Texas Select Vapor will be releasing the Stallion in the next few weeks It uses the DNA chip same as the Opus. Keep an eye on the classified I see darwins in there sometimes.
+$25 for an extended 2 year warranty. I love my ProVari but I could buy 2 zMaxs for the price.
Opus is a wooden Mod that uses the DNA chip VW its another always out of stock INHALER mod same as Darwin same makers as the kick. The Opus as far as the Stallion thing thats your call besides your not sucking just puffing and an occasional quick blow to clear itI don't know anything about the Opus. Is it a variable wattage mod? I'm *this* close to getting a Provari, but I know I would be happier having VW instead of just VV. Right now my eGo Twists are ok, so I'm seeing how long I can wait for a tech refresh.
On a side note, I'm wondering if Texas Select has thought through that name. No way am I walking around sucking on a 'Stallion'. I'm sorry.
