Got a call today that my gold plated KirF Prive Spesh is ready for pick-up. Now I have to cross my fingers that work goes smooth tomorrow and we don't have to work late. If I don't make it there in time, they're closed til Monday. :(

Where you getting that at?

GoldSeal Plating. It a couple miles from my house. I also had them plate a KirF Drip Tip and a Tatroe Foot. We'll see how it turned out. I may be plating a lot of accessories if it went well. I'd like to see a plated V2.5 or a Mini.

Yikes! I'm looking at the eBay sold listings. A used black/green 2.5 full-size (it looked in good condition), with a Protank v1, one replacement head and a cheap 1 bay wall charger (no battery) sold for $227.61. Shipping was free.

See what I mean. I been trying to find a cheap used one to have plated but some sale for more then they cost.

Oh Lordy, you have to get back into the books. The last one left me on such a cliffhanger I wanted to pull my hair out. The third and fourth did get a bit slow, but the fifth one more than make up for it. There is so much more back story and characters in the books that it makes the show look like it's only scratching the surface. Has not let me down yet. (unlike the last one from Jordan)

I never found any of them slow and ended up devouring a million other fantasy books trying to get my fix for the Song of Fire and Ice series while waiting for those two new books....still jonesing, in fact.

Loved the books so much I've read them twice. The second time around is better, you don't spend so much time flipping back and forth from the appendices, trying to keep all the characters straight.

EvilZoe (or may I call you Zo Zo?), have you read anything by China Mieville? Perdido Street Station is fantastic.
