Loved the books so much I've read them twice. The second time around is better, you don't spend so much time flipping back and forth from the appendices, trying to keep all the characters straight.

EvilZoe (or may I call you Zo Zo?), have you read anything by China Mieville? Perdido Street Station is fantastic.

Why ask? Zo Zo reminds me of Zuzu from It's a Wonderful Life...and she was anything but evil. So, what better nickname to call EvilZoe?

You know, I haven't read anything by that author and that's actually rather odd. I'm a voracious reader.

When I first became Zoe on the internet I was the evil version of my very cranky, mean cat who only deferred to ME...lol I called HER ZoZo all the time and I noticed people starting to pick it up here. I think it's kind of sweet, actually. :)

Got a call today that my gold plated KirF Prive Spesh is ready for pick-up. Now I have to cross my fingers that work goes smooth tomorrow and we don't have to work late. If I don't make it there in time, they're closed til Monday. :(

That was fast!

Custom cut quartz glass for the Prive Special has not even shipped yet. :(

Leaving for Thanksgiving today and this time the ProVari is taking a road trip! Not leaving w/out it again! And since this is my first winter vaping, has anyone that lives in cold states made the mistake of leaving juice in their car and it froze up?

And not that I would do it, what about accidentally leaving the ProVari out in cold weather? I'd think the ProVari can withstand nearly anything.

Just curious....and also mentioning ProVari just to keep the ProVari in this thread ;)

juice should not freeze, shouldnt have a problem except juice might be thicker for ya.

i dont like batteries to freeze, seems to loose some of the life when they do. just my experience.

In Celsius, PG freezes at -59°. In Fahrenheit, PG freezes at -74.2°.

VG on the other hand is much easier to freeze. VG freezes at 18° Celsius (or 64.4° Fahrenheit).

Now, when trying to freeze either of these solutions, you have to consider the Freezing Point for nicotine, if you indeed have nicotine in the juice. Nicotine freezes at -79 ° Celsius (or -110° Fahrenheit). The amount of nicotine that you add to your juice will truly determine what temperature your juice will freeze at.

Um 18° Celsius is, warm. did you mean (-18° Celsius) and (-64.4° Fahrenheit) as freezing is 32° Fahrenheit and 0° Celsius for water.

Edit... I'm just being a pain, lol

Everyone ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow? I was up with the chickens (turkeys ;) ) this morning preparing my brining solution. The bird is now happily covered with brine and ice in the cooler until tomorrow. :)

I had a cousin come in from out of town yesterday, and he surprised the hell out of me with a 26.5 pound fresh turkey! He purchased it before arriving from a farm 20 miles from here. I could swear the damn thing was still twitching. :p I'm still debating whether to throw it into my smoker with some wild cherry or pecan wood, or just use my convection oven.. Regardless, I can see some good feasting tomorrow for certain. :toast:

We already had turkey day.

Can I come state side and have some of yours? :)

Sounds like you are all set!

All that remains is for you to drink yourself (and your cousin) into oblivion while you ponder smoking or not smoking the turkey. Not sure you can go wrong either way, although I like convection ovens for turkey.

I quit smoking, can we vape the turkey instead?

Pure Glycerin freezes at 62.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Glycerin solidifies, freezes, at an abnormally high temperature. The freezing point of a substance, such as glycerin, is reached when the substance changes from liquid to solid. Glycerin is also known as glycerol and glycerine

26.5 lb fresh turkey..WOW (and I mean WOW not the video game). That's one huge bird! I usually have Thanksgiving at my house for 18-20 peeps and our biggest I could find was around 24 lb and I just put an extra full 7-8 lb breast (minds out of the gutter) in the electric roaster. The big boy would go in a Reynolds Roast bag and in the oven. I swear by that Reynolds Roast bag but I don't think a 26 lb bird would fit in it! LOLOL

But this yr due to traveling right before Thanksgiving, I get to take a break cooking this yr-vaping and drinks in my near future ;)

EDIT-and thanks for the juice freeze info. I don't plan on leaving anything out in the car, but wanted to know in case I accidentally do sometime.

edit: are you sure its pure 99.7% if there is water or anything else in it the temp will lower alot.

There is plenty for everyone for sure... :) I'll post some pics tomorrow if I can avoid going into a tryptophan-induced coma. :D

@ Edd... Smoking does make for a rubbery skin, but smoked turkey is soooo good. I do need to bust out the bottle of Maker's Mark I have stashed to ponder this as you suggested. So far, it is just my cousin and myself. (I have no idea what he was thinking with a bird that large) The girl I see from time to time is at her Mom's, and my other immediate family is out of state.

Like ethylene glycol and propylene glycol, glycerol is a non-ionic kosmotrope that forms strong hydrogen bonds with water molecules, competing with water-water hydrogen bonds.
This disrupts the crystal lattice formation of ice unless the temperature is significantly lowered.
The minimum freezing point temperature is at about −36 °F / −37.8 °C corresponding to 70% glycerol in water.
Glycerol was historically used as an anti freeze for automotive applications before being replaced by ethylene glycol, which has a lower freezing point.
While the minimum freezing point of a glycerol water mixture is higher than an ethylene glycol water mixture, glycerol is not toxic and is being re-examined for use in automotive applications.
In the laboratory, glycerol is a common component of solvents for enzymatic reagents stored at temperatures below 0 °C due to the depression of the freezing temperature of solutions with high concentrations of glycerol.
It is also used as a cryoprotectant where the glycerol is dissolved in water to reduce damage by ice crystals to laboratory organisms that are stored in frozen solutions, such as bacteria, nematodes, and mammalian embryos.
