LOLOLOL! Well I guess it's good that some Americans enjoy living in colder weather states otherwise Florida, Cali, Arizona would be over populated ;)

To me anyway it's like with most things and has a lot to do with what you grew up in. I lived about half my life in the frozen north buried in snow for over half of the year. One thing nice about cold though is you can dress in layers for it. The other half of it was in CA, HI and on the Mojave Desert where the climate was from not too hot or cold to tropical but often too wet to way too hot in summer but with shirtsleeves and shorts winters. You can't dress for extreme heat... even in Sin City walking around naked when it's 120+ in the shade might be frowned on by some folks. I've always got used to where I lived in time, or at least learned to tollerate it. But I doubt I could live in the hot, humid south though.

I hadn't looked at them in so long that I was really surprised when I did a Google search for the image... "Woah. Teva makes more than 1 style now? And shoes!?!?"

Even in the small town I lived in on the edge of the Mojave lots of new Teva designs & leather Teva's started showing up in our local sporting goods around the early 90's. To me they did not improve on the originals. My newest pair is probably over 20 years old and still fit to wear.

Did my first carto hot swap yesterday in my IBtanked (thx Ocey! Read your blog about it or the vid..can't remember which). Although I made a little bit of a mess, it worked! I didn't think I would know when to change the carto but Wow, the flavor in the juice tasted slightly burnt and off. Now I know when a carto is going bad!

But....does any one use the IBtanked "thingy" tool and notice its hard to fit it in the Ikenvape cartos???? That's why I made a mess cuz I was trying like crazy to snap the thingy into the carto and it wasn't fitting. Almost like the carto opening is smaller or something. Then juice got on my fingers and the damn carto tank slipped out and flew into the sink. Thought I was going to break it.
Yes I think the Ike cartos are just a mmmmmm smaller in diameter because the fill tool is very tight as well as some of my drip tips!!

I don't have enough patience for the Thingy. I tried it a few times, but I got bored twisting and watching bubbles. I also usually fill more than one carto at the same time, going back and forth between them, and all that twisting makes my wrist hurt.

There are lots of methods to fill cartos. Every time I read about a new one, I give it a try, but I keep coming back to the same way (or a variation of it) that I figured out before I found ECF. After some practice you'll find what works for you. This is more or less what I do:

Ok, I'm an idiot..I meant that tool thing like the slap ur momma tool but from IBtanked. I had a super hard time getting it to snap in the end if the cart for some reason. Like as if the carto opening was too small or something. I was using an Ikenvape carto.

And I was talking about swapping one carto for another not filling. I thought u guys refer it to a hot swap.

If I recall, the Ikenvape cartos use a little thicker steel than Boge or Smoktech. I know they feel a little more hefty.

I use a Slap Yo Moma tool. I can't say I've noticed any difficulty using it with either Ikenvape or Smoktech cartos.

It is called a "Hot Swap." I'm sorry, I haven't had coffee yet and didn't catch all of your post. I've run into tight cartos a few time and I'm not sure it can be limited to one brand. Even with IKV we are still dealing with little tiny mass-produced products. And although our devices don't get that hot, I think there may be an element of expansion and contraction with o-rings and carto casings. The worst incident I had was a glass drip tip stuck in a carto. I ended up having to pull as much of the carto as I could out if the bottom (it was flanged) without damaging the drip tip too much and cutting the bottom off with a bolt cutter - actually it was more crushing and then trying to cut it, since the bottom had hardly pulled out at all. It was harder than it sounds and the tip got scratched up a bit in the process. It didn't break though.

Sometimes putting some juice on the SYM helps get it in and if you don't push the tool in all the way; although that's more for when you put in a new carto, not when you hot swap.

Ok thx. I'm still on the learning curve stage w/all this but I was happy I did it. Messy, wasted some juice, but got it done.

From their website...

While we keep urging our factory to increase the ID of the body we are only at 7.48mm. A typical cartomizer comes in with an ID of 7.50mm. While this difference is very minimal it can affect compatibility of OEM US drip tips. We have tested many drip tips from the shop and have had a 100% success rate.

I'm pretty much a rock guy, myself. I do love me some southern rock (LOVE me some Allman Brothers), and I'm not gonna say I hate ALL country....but most of it. I tell ya, for such a macho subculture, them boys are pretty damned emo, music-wise.

I am only 40 min from Raleigh....heck yea, just saw the Allman Bros and lynyrd skynyrd at the amphitheater in Raleigh last year!! They were awesome!

What's wrong with Southern Snake Charming Gospel?

If he is in the Raleigh-Durham area, there will be no difficulty finding good radio stations. There are three major college campuses within 30 miles of Raleigh. Also, the Charlotte area is quite nice. I almost took a job down there in 2008, and went for a long weekend visit when I interviewed. I hear Wilmington is booming, too.
Great radio stations....my sister lives in Wilmingon and I visit that area often because of family and work, have several concrete plants and an asphalt plant on the coast....very nice area

I have tried just about every trick out there to prime a carto, My 100% VG disagrees with every one of them, Even doing the syringe filling method it just comes out the top and bottom and makes a mess it seems no matter how slow I do it. I want to love cartos and I did for a day, then I hated them again, then loved them and then the relationship got violent and a few cartos got hurt, I haven't totally given up yet though... But we are taking a little break and seeing different things.
