Hey all,

I bring news from the great state of Michigan. Forgive me for not having tracked too closely lately, but I'm not sure if this will be meaningful for everyone here, but I know that it will be for many.

Our longtime friend, @coldgin96 , bringer of life, laughter, and music scores unparalleled, has indeed passed on. I know that we all knew it was coming, but it's still never easy to hear.

Everyone here knows the name Jackie, and she did offer up the following comment. Knowing Gin as we did, it wouldn't surprise me to hear that he wanted us to know this information.
"He did not however pass from the COVID19 virus, it was the IPF. Now he is at peace."

I expect that I speak for most of us when I say that his suffering was too long, and I'm glad that he's been freed from it. That doesn't make it any less sad, of course.

Gin will be missed, for sure. His wit, sometimes biting humor, and certainly his appreciation of music, connecting with many of us on a variety of levels. He was as much a part of this crazy cast of characters as anyone, and ingrained in the very fabric of ProVarinati concept, culture, and life.

I've shared with you all that I know, and can only ask that we find room to keep Jackie in our thoughts and prayers.

Here's to Gin, and to Jackie, and all the fun, all the life, and all of the memories. I can think of no more appropriate way to close this message than with a song. A most appropriate one at that.

Godspeed, Gin, and thanks for all that you brought to this great & wonderful place. We will miss you.

Thank you for letting us know about Gin. I will keep Jackie and Steel (his dog) in my thoughts and prayers. I am going to miss his music postings around here, and will always think of him when I see or hear KISS. I take some small comfort in knowing he doesn't have to struggle to breathe any longer.
