I'm a few months behind your quitversary. I'll hit 7 in October. I don't think the rest of the world has any idea of how important those dates are. In lots of other groups around the net I see an increasing number of people who got into vaping for reasons very different than most people here.

In my case, after failing with patches, gum, pills, and even hypnosis the day I found I could literally save my life with vaping will always be remembered.

Congratulations. We understand what the day means.

Mark me down for a hearty "agree". I did everything except take Chantix (I am crazy enough without paying for the privilege). I have been completely off cigarettes for around five and one-half years, it is as close to a miracle as I deserve.

Really nice.
I change my mind. Don't fill in the nail holes and paint it. Looks great as you made it!

I put it in the basement today, and started sorting stuff in to it, I can actually see the top of my work bench, for the first time in years. I think I also filled about 6 trash bags of unneeded stuff. I am going to go threw all the shelves, and purge as I go threw box's and old coffee cans. I have been a pack rat, so once I go threw everything, then I will do it again, I want to get it narrowed down to this chest and a couple of shelves. :|

My wife taught me to purge, it was difficult at first. We both came from hoarder backgrounds...my record collection was most difficult. It had been accumulating since I was a teen, and several other collections were acquired and merged into it. It was alphabetically organized to a T, and I couldn't just let it go, so I found a used record store run by a guy who had been in the business for a long time. He had me drop off all several hundred pounds of records, and he took about a week to go through them and give me a fair price...it wasn't as high as I anticipated, but considering all things, I guess it was better than just dumping them.

Afterwards, I actually felt liberated, no longer bound to care for, move, worry about that maybe half ton of vinyl and cardboard and paper library that I had saddled myself with all those years LOL. I think doing a purge once in a while is good practice, and I am overdue...if you haven't needed/used/thought about a thing in a years time, you will probably never need it...I still have a ton of stuff to get rid of .

I made appointments for my two cats to see the vet next week. Monday will be a rough one, but it is time...I feel my old girl has been in a state of cognitive decline as well a physical for too long now. Funny, but now that I made a decision, I feel more at peace...maybe writing out my conflict here helped ease my mind in some fashion, don't know, maybe it just gave me an opportunity to look at it outside my feelings and be rational, like looking at a picture, and thinking '''what does this image portray".

I have been here for about 25 years, and no wife to push me to do it. It started with the basement, mostly tooling and hardware that just built up over the years. Once there was no more room down there, it started up stairs as well. It has to stop, so I am starting with the basement. AS far as the tooling I have, wood working, welding, and automotive tools. I will have a hard to getting rid of tools, but I don't think I really need some of it anymore. Also as far as wood working, after doing a project I usually keep the scraps, but I don't need all of it. I am throwing a lot of that away, with this project a lot of the scraps came in handy, so I am definitely keeping some of it. :|

Yeah, I don't need no temptation...haven't had an urge to light up for so long I can't even remember...I actually enjoy vaping way more than I ever did smoking, and I was a die hard smoker.
So yeah, suggesting a celebratory smoke = dick move fail Astro...
