The Traveling Willburys!

They adopted names as sons of the fictional person Charles Truscott Willbury, Sr.

Roy Orbison – Lefty Willbury
Bob Dylan – Boo Willbury
Jeff Lynne – Otis Willbury
George Harrison – Nelson Willbury
Tom Petty – Muddy Willbury
**the drummer is not a Willbury

Sessions held at Dave Stewart’s (Eurythmics) house
Liner notes (back story) written by Michael Palin (Monty Python) on Vol. 1
Liner notes written by Eric Idle (Monty Python) on Vol. 3

The backstory was that other performers, if accepted, could join the band as a far-flung member of the Willbury clan. After Roy Orbison (Lefty) and George Harrison (Nelson) passed, the whole project was discontinued. Tom Petty (Muddy) passed later. Only Boo and Otis remain alive.

Gotta start with the Willbury Twist

That was quite a robot. The whole time I was like, they should make one that makes soldiers obsolete..... in bed. LOL.

Merely because I like totally refuse to adopt the slogan, "Things can always get worse."

Only... I sort of got the sense that if the robot wanted it, and you were not in the mood that day, things could get very, very tense.

I miss Tom Petty a whole bunch. :( Of course thanks to to miracle of like recording Tom Petty can still be pretty awesome.

This feels a little weird, this month the only thing I ordered was some batteries. I have been ordering mods, tanks etc. for so long every month for years now. I have been avoiding spending money on flavorings, and getting hardware, so now I can concentrate on mixing more.
With no new hardware in the mailbox, just kind of takes the joy out of life a bit. Earlier today I made up a wish list of flavors that I want from Chefs Flavors in the UK, it ended up being a big list, and I was not really finished looking when I stopped. Chefs has a lot of Flavor Art flavors that are not available here in the US. It is going to be an adjustment.

Hi Provari thread. Newb here but not new to vaping. Someone told me that this is the ONLY place to trust with a Provari question.

:D:rolleyes::blush::facepalm:

As Joe Walsh once said, "But seriously, folks..."

I stumbled upon an old and very much used Zen gem, already well worn but worthy of being a P3 I'd be happy to treat as a beater. My issue is with the menu. It's different from what I'm familiar with on a P3, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to reset it back to "normal" ("Abby someone.") *

On my others, the menu is as follows:

Wattage |
--------- | Battery meter
Resistance |

On THIS one though, it's:

Voltage |
--------- | Resistance
Wattage |

P3s_20201010_215909.jpg

I've looked through the manual but can't find anything on resetting to factory default.

IF anyone knows how I might accomplish this, I'd be greatly appreciative...

Otherwise, thanks for listening and carry on (wayward sons & daughters). :headbang:

Hey Duane. No battery meter is showing at all, from what I can tell. I'll check the firmware in the morning, and THANKS for the suggestion.

That looks like an ancient menu.

Any chance you could get ahold of ~Zen and ask him about it?

Honestly, that might even be some sort of beta menu.

Or maybe Bill (ProVari repair guy) might be able to identify that for you.

One other thing: is that line down the middle possibly a battery icon?

Maybe let it run down to see if it gets shorter?

Can you get into the menu and switch between Volt and Watt to see what that does to the layout?

Also, is there an IQ reading in the menu?

And jeeze, one more thing: could that be a Classic chip?

Thanks JWB. It's definitely a beta (has the diamonds) and is running Ver 36. If I recall correctly, that's an oldie (I think). It's a bit funky as I've had some issues getting it to hold in wattage mode. It appears to be stuck in V, which is fine for my purposes but still wonky.

It wasn't expensive, and the purple ZK'd Kabuki might be worth more than I paid for the entire rig. I just wanted one P3 that I wouldn't mind throwing around with a cheap atty. For that, it works, but I WOULD like to know the (fricka-frackin') battery level.

It's not worth sending in for repairs though. Something tells me that it's "off" in some way. I guess as long as it keeps firing, I'll just be conscious to change batteries anytime I'm going to use it for a stretch of time.

I have barely even used my one P3, so don't really remember, but I thought that you could change that, in the change display settings mode in the menu. I only have one manual, I thought that it covered all the various versions. Sorry not really much help on my end.

Thanks Jim.

It's actually a Byzantium (purple) beta P3, but the finish was terribly abused. A previous owner had absolutely no idea how rare and special it was. It's a shame. (

LOL.

Yeah - I bought it knowing full well what the condition was. I wanted it as a beater that I wouldn't worry about.

It's fine other than the stupid menu thing. I'll live with it.
