Right?

Chris Cornell. Shot to my stomach this morning. :(

I've always had him in the "One of rock's greatest voices" category. Dayum (smh).
I pulled out one of his acoustic albums LAST NIGHT! Didn't get around to playing it, but found it while cleaning up some stuff in my basement. Friggin' weird!

Saw him solo a couple of years ago. Amazing talent.

That would freak me out.

Loved his voice, loved that solo album he did, and especially loved the Audioslave. Seriously bumming...

No kidding!

Last time I saw him (Massey Hall in Toronto) he brought a cello playing friend onstage and sang Ava Maria. He apologized for having to read the lyrics as he didn't speak Italian. It was incredible.

His acoustic versions of John Lennon's Imagine and Michael Jackson's Billie Jean are amazing as well.

Really sucks.

I know them all very well. I've never heard him utter a lyric that didn't move me to the bottom of my spine. My son called me early this morning (UNHEARD OF from him). He knew...

This one hurts (too many have...).

:(

Saw Sabbath many years ago before Ozzy left the band. Of course they were very good. Then I saw Ozzy when he went on his own. A rising band named Metallica was opening for him. One thing Ozzy always did was to allow his warm up bands to play their full show. He never put constraints on them. So Metallica played their Master of Puppets songs and the crowd was totally mesmerized. I got to thinking Oz made a mistake. No way could he outperform that. WRONG!! By the end of his show you forgot all about Metallica. As goofy and nutty as Ozzy is, he is super talented and can one-up anyone. That said, as goofy and nutty as his wife is too, she is the one who kept him alive. Without her, he would have been dead long ago. I'm convinced.

When this album dropped, I sat through the entire thing with a dropped jaw. It caused me to (a) go back and listen to everything SG put out, then (b) pick up everything Audioslave ever did. I had no idea...

That's it. It's been a day. :|

My wife and I are both very groggy today. We listened to SG, AS and CC for hours drinking beer and tequila last night. Too much actually.

I was a much bigger STP fan than of SG but when Weiland died it wasn't any kind of shock. This one hurts.

Maybe good will come of it if any people realize that just because you have a Dr's prescription for a drug, it's still a drug.
