I have a question! The spring came out of my end cap for one of my 2.5 minis!
I have never put a spring back in and I can't get it back in so I could use some suggestions!
Luckily I have extra end caps till I can get this spring back in![]()
They're a bit of a pain to get in. You have to press and turn clockwise. Use needle nose pliers to help get a grip on the spring.
Does anyone know any tricks to getting the provape repair service guy to email us back?
I've taken to emailing him monthly, and getting no response in return.. This will be month three of getting ignored, and honestly at this point I'd hang up my hat and give up, but my low battery indicator is no longer working and I have a p3 that is only on v2 in the update region, and I'd like to get fully updated before he stops helping us..
Are there any tricks to getting a return email? I think two full months is really plenty of time..I'm hoping to make it stick this time, with this next email.
Sounds like he's already stopped helping us.Does anyone know any tricks to getting the provape repair service guy to email us back?

Based on your experience it sounds like he's done with us. Maybe others had better luck??Really? But I thought he was being paid to service our stuff til January 2018..
Do you think thats changed and we are just screwed?
Oh God I hope not!

It's just a matter of time before our Provaris crap out and we can't get them repaired. ProVape will be but a memory.Hmm.. if so I might start selling my provaris on eBay then, maybe just go to dicodes now.. if I can't even get an update and a small fix to get me through the long haul...
I just don't know. Darn it.

Wonder where WillieZ's been...
^^ that usually works, but I've had a couple that were stubborn and just wouldn't go, so I've used a small flat bladed srewdriver to work the wire into the hole. It was easier for me to do this while holding the spring with a hemostsat.

Ha ha, I got mine long after those daze were over, they come in pretty handy holding small parts when working inside the confines of a model airplane fuselage.Ahhh, the good ol' daze.![]()
And nothing lasts forever. Not even Provaris. Their warranty record was very good on Provaris. Few warranty repairs. But they did have to repair them in time. Mine lasted 2 - 3 years before I had to send it in. Some people's mileage may vary but I have to believe if you go past three years of daily use on a new Provari you're on borrowed time. For those who have stock piled Provaris you're in good shape. While I have a few I never hoarded them like I see some do. I figger with technological advances they'll go obsolete before they go bellyup. Of course Deeming makes everything a jump ball.@Opinionated , sorry to hear that, thanks for sharing your experience though, and keep trying. I wish you luck in getting your devices serviced, maybe Bill's just swamped?
@Bronze, sad but true. There is a limited amount of spare parts that went to this guy, and when they are gone they are gone. Without product support, these devices are what they are, some will last for years and years, and some will be available on the secondary market, I suspect for a while going forward. But now, if and when they break, they are paperweights, just like the inexpensive mass produced products.
I've sent a few Provari in for repairs, and it all went pretty smoothly. The last time was in May and Bill said he was pretty busy and it might take a while depending on what I needed. He still turned them around pretty quickly. I usually emailed him on a Friday and heard back after the weekend.Does anyone know any tricks to getting the provape repair service guy to email us back?
