Funny that you bring this up. I do recall when it was first mentioned, and I thought to myself: how do I do this and how do I do this without leakage?
Well, I just tried it. Just a slight turn on the bottom of the tank and the bubble rose, and it worked! Flavor back, vapor back. Did I dream this? Thanks DP.
What if you have a SS tank?

Caught my eye: Enfield, England, A woman walks past a golden ATM, marking the location of the first cash machine 50 years ago. Photograph: Hannah Mckay/Reuters

Anecdotal: When I lived in Columbus Georgia in 1974, that was the first time I ever used an ATM. Back then, banks gave away incentives to get people to use the new fangled ATMs. My bank for instance, gave a coupon for a free Burger King Whopper with every use of the ATM. I used the ATM every evening for several weeks, withdrawing and then re-depositing the same $20 over and over. As a struggling young Draftsman, I was temped to withdraw and use the $20 elsewhere along the way but HAD to leave it for the freebie eats. I kinda felt guilty about using so many free Whopper coupons and would always buy a small drink when using the coupon. Sometimes I'd splurge and get fries too, but not always.

Sorry, Gin. Didn't realize...

I'll check the turn ratio in the morning and report it. I think it's only quarter or half. Someone may beat me to it, which is also cool.

I thought it was an odd question... (D'oh!) [emoji23]

Dude, I wouldn't worry about it. With the way banks screw each and every one of their customers and make money in such a shady and dishonest manner, they can afford to feed each and every one of their customers and their families a full meal each and every day and still get rich....

Good for you, Robin Hood would be proud and so am I. :thumb:

EDIT: No, I'm not a socialist or a Democrat, or even a Republican for that matter. I consider myself a, "Independent, radical Moderate." Also, a Capitalist WITH MORALS. You know what Christ said about Richies getting into Heaven...
But I digress... Just thought I'd explain myself before anyone got the wrong idea.

That's cool, I'm just funnin' ya! Jackie and I prefer to cut off the airflow and dry hit but still, the "turn ratio" would be kinda cool to know. Never know... I am going to try your method next time I need to, "re-prime" the coil to see how I like it. Like I typed, "never know." :thumb:

Yeah - I was kind of exhausted last night. When I realized what you meant (before I bounced back in), I actually laughed out loud (at myself).

If that's working for you, I'd stick with it. The "flood" has worked very well for me since I began doing it, and the impact has been immediate and discernible.

For the record, with the Kabuki it's almost exactly a one-quarter turn that will raise the bubble. The Nautilus is about the same, but restricts you to that amount you can turn it by design. So with those, I just take them to the limit.

"Save the Coils!" (let's make signs)

An old favorite, just for regurgitated laughter >

I think it was @Ca Ike who gave me/us the tip to flood the coils occasionally, which has made a big difference for me. Just loosen the bottom a little (standing upright) until you see bubble rise. He said they some may just be drying out, and far from "dead". In my case, it pays dividends.

I hope it helps you (and anyone else) too.

Thanks! That worked and as you said about a quarter turn is all it took.

Hope everone has a great 4th of July!
