True dat LOL ... cotton is non-conductive AND the ceramic I was building on is non-conductive. That just leaves well, wire. And one other thing. The ceramic is more of a heat sink than cotton. Maybe why I had to run 15w and E is only running 11w.look closer...totally different set up![]()
Here's inexpensive for you ... and it stays on my desk. Used more than any stand I have. Cut a 2" thick piece of scrap 4x4 laying around. Drill at 1" hole through it with a Wood Bore/Spade bit. Sand edges as necessary with a wood file.they look fancy, but the simple setup isn't that expensive, compared to the jwraps one.

2" thick is just right for a Mini to a Procyon and everything in between

there's way more than that going on, the coil I showed is a compressed coil, and is located beneath the airhole, no hot wire above the airhole...don't really know why that seems to work best for me, but i tend to like it when the airflow comes across the uppermost part of where the heat is generated. Also, something about zens and this lovingly modified/copied version of a attie, maybe it's the thick center post, but the vapor seems to really mix extremely well and give an incredibly smooth vape, this attie has very quickly become my all time favorite atomizer, and the ZAP and ZAU are a close second...I just love them...albeit with a bastigeized build...True dat LOL ... cotton is non-conductive AND the ceramic I was building on is non-conductive. I'm a cotton and redi X wick guy...that attie is a dripper sent to me by @Kn0ttYFive and she wrapped that coil, I just peeled off a couple wraps to lower the Ω's a bit

for a person that lives in the big city with no easy access to pieces of wood and also without tools besides a few screw drivers, a pair of pliers and maybe a small hammer somewhere, i don't think this would be an option,Here's inexpensive for you ... and it stays on my desk. Want to make a stand for a Radius? Glue and clamp 2-3 flat boards together and let dry. Cut to desired length, maybe 3-4 inches longer than a Radius. Drill two holes slightly larger than a Radius is wide. Space the holes according to the length of the Radius. Use a jig saw and cut out the wood between the two holes. Dress edges up with a wood file.
How about the Radius AND tube mods? Glue and clamp enough flat boards together to make 2" thick (less than 2" is okay too). Let the glue dry. Cut the length to accommodate the Radius AND a 1" hole drilled through for tube mod.
You could come up with other ideas for making a stand?
