As I recall, most of the glass breaking complaints on the kabiku thread were before the silicon o rings were commissioned by Zen (HOH).

The original buna and especially the white and colored buna at Square up are much tighter....and work well on some poly or glass from other suppliers when the silicon seems too loose.

Glass breaks. Personally I've lost just as many mods as tank glass in falls....but not one ProVi.:)

It's Friday the 13th. Exactly 710 years since the soldiers of King Philip IV captured all Templars found in France...

Perhaps none of them ever owned a steam turbine rba - if they ever dealt with those they'd never have a problem with a kabuki
Well, there's our problem. If someone needs to have experience with a particular RBA in order to use a device with factory coils, I consider that a design flaw. You are entitled to your opinion though, and your user name is well selected.

My newer Kabuki is pretty easy to take apart. It's nothing like dealing with an RTA or RBA, at least for me. With that said, mine came with the new O-rings and I keep them juiced up and have zero problems (besides my clumsiness, LOL). If refilling a Kabuki were anything like an RTA mine would be still sitting in its box, I think.

the original orings were the wrong size, too tight. that should have been fixed a lot sooner. the orings that came with the titanium kabuki were perfect. i replaced my stainless kabuki orings with the spare set from the titanium and now my wife can use it.

Absolutely right Ziff.
With my first couple of Kabuki's I always needed to use the wrench to get the bottom off to refill. That was never true with the titanium, nor with the Z2 Kabuki either. When I finally replaced the orings in one of the first couple when it broke and began to leak, then easy peasy to remove the bottom to refill.

The silicone orings were game changers. A "must" buy...

Don’t forget, mike also had them custom mixed to a softer durometer so there wasn’t as much pressure on the glass so even the buna rings should be the softer material now.

I didn't know that, Ike, thanks. The last one I bought wasn't too long after they first came out, so they're antiques by now.

I can probably get special license plates for them, now that I think about it.
