yes. i put a carto on and attached it to a drill. the ceracote was a bit of a pain as i only had 400 grit and finer. i think i'll finish the gmz with 4000 to make it shiny. 400 matched a kayfun nicely.
I wondered for a minute how you fixtured it. Thought maybe you did it on a lathe. I have a drill press and started to think how I could hold it. Didn't think of using an old carto (maybe cuz I don't have one). Guess it didn't harm your chipset or associated electronics if it is still working. :)

No.

More durable.

It’s a deposited finish.

More durable than Cerakote.

Actually, now I think about it, it might be just a tumble finish, but I think there is something else there.

Anyway, it’s the most durable of the finishes ProVape did in-house, with only ZenKote™️ being more durable, maybe.

It Real tough.

I was thinking about my drill press after you posted this, perhaps when it warms up I'll unbox it and use one of my HH357's ( I gave all my carto's away ),to chuck up a ProVari and have a go at it, I've got paper with grits from 80 all the way up to 1500 sitting there. I'm thinking I'll set the belt drive to a slower setting and proceed cautiously.

i went real slow. probably 100 rpm. i have a feeling there's a bit of smoke and mirrors in the vid. both of my gmz have many tiny scratches in them. you can't see them without a flashlight and cheaters. i'll find out if it takes five minutes or five hours.

that being said it looks great and still my favorite finish.

The Post (2017) - IMDb o_O

The Post with Tom Hanks & Meryl Streep is Hollywood and Mainstream media's attempt to make people remember that every now and then they do tell the truth :?:
Sad they had to go back to 1971 to find a story of when they did

The evidence keeps piling up: e-cigarettes are definitely safer than smoking
