My first 45 was Yackety Yack by the Coasters. That was like, early 50's?
One of my first 45s was Paul Anka's "put your head on my shoulder". I remember dancing to this tune and me and my girlfriends fell momentarilly in love with whomever we were dancing because we thought it was such a romantic song . That was probably early 60s.

I only have one P3 the celtic knot, also bought at the end. I honestly don't remember what I paid for it, I also bought the classic at the same time, I think it was January and February of 2017. To be honest I did not like the big P3 engraved in the side of it, and I was also kind of a die hard volts fan. I did really like the Celtic design though. :|

and your question answered here. :)

It’s funny how people have different opinions.
I like the P3 and don’t like the tear drops.

My least favorite ProVari is a Gold Zencote P3. I'll hang onto it and use it, but it's never been out in public and may never be. Don't think any kind of machine engraving would have fixed it for me.

I've heard of Vapin Art before, but don't know anything about them. I'd be wondering where they got them from, or maybe it's stock they've had.

I don't see anyone else with 18350 or 18490 AW batteries...

My Celtic Knot was 250 (or perhaps 249) and I was so pleased it was the same price as the regular p3 satin design. (Xmas 2014)

The stealth , the zenkote and the Ti had a premium added to them. By the time the painted finishes came out I don't think they did....but I'm not sure.

In the fall of 2015 I bought my first Radius when it was released and it was 199 -- normal 40 watt model with satin trim.

The printed finishes, the 60 watt, the colored metal parts and the jeweled buttons all added more to the price, depending on what was selected.

Yes, there were some very good deals the closing months, but not so much on the Procyon or the Radius though they were reduced some. Some P3's were as low as 100 and I know I was thrilled to get a Classic GMZ for 70, though some did sold for a bit less then that. ' The 2.5's and mini deals were amazing and many were convinced to get their first ProVi!

Oh, those closing threads were fun --- talk about enabling, and lots of laughs. I don't know if we ever figured out who "won" naming which was the last ProVari to be sold, but I still think it was 2.5 in satin.:)

Over at Liion Wholesale, they recommend Vapecell 18350 as a replacement for the discontinued (and well thought of?) Aspire 18350. I don't have any experience with the Vapecell or know who makes them, but may be worth a look, dunno ... If this link is against the rules, please delete post. Thanks !!! ... Vapcell 18350 10A Flat Top 1100mAh Battery - Genuine

EDIT: Here's Mooch's review and bench test results from May 2018. I think I'd go with these if I were looking for 18350s right at this moment. He deemed them accurately rated ... Bench Test Results: Vapcell Purple 10A 1100mAh 18350...accurately rated

Anyone know the legitimacy of this ?

VapinArt has been around a while and is a respected vendor for high end gear. They found a niche in locating/stocking hard to get items that a lot of times are only available from Europe or Facebook groups. They unabashedly charge a premium price for that service and I have no problems with that.

I have no doubt the batteries are 100% legit but might question how long they've been on the shelf. When the usual sources were charging $8 each, as I remember their price was $12 so I wouldn't have expected them to sell a whole lot of them. But looking around at what's currently available I think they'd still be the ones I'd buy.

But there's an additional problem in that they might be TOO new. Towards the end, I am certain AW had to change their source as the 18350s started varying a bunch in size, and in my experience also in performance. I don't know what happened there, but it was a total shame. All 18350s are rewraps, and AW was the one company you could depend on to make sure they sold the best ones.

Nowadays, the almightly dollar seems to have changed all that and companies will chase pennies just because. The Vapcell looked like a very good possibility for a new reliable 18350 source as Mooch's tests showed great performance for some of their 18650s. But recently his retests have showed lower performance and different cells than he originally tested.

I can vouch for those Aspire 18350 cells, they are awesome performers, too bad they disco'ed them :( I always had a funny feeling that batteries could be a problem down the road, 18650 flat top became king of the hill for such a long time, now there are the 20XXX 21XXX series batteries coming into play... kinda makes me think about the whole VHS / Beta tape, vinyl, cassette, CD , MP3 thing all over again. Of course, there will always be some guy or gal out there that will figure out a way to hack or cobble something to get it to work in a way never thought of before...the boards inside these ProVari tube mods CAN be removed and re purposed, or incorporated into a different enclosure to be powered by whatever 3.7V battery is currently on the market...

It ain't rocket science...

The first ProVari I bought was a used V1 that had been messed with a bit. A drop of solder on the positive contact was used to make it work with flat tops. It lost the physical reverse battery protection, so one slip and I'll fry that board.

I haven't used it for a few years but I suppose it could come in handy in the world of flat tops.
