there is some stuff missing from that timeline ... example, no mention of The ProVari Classic.

Willy, the guy was asking for more info. You probably know more about Provape than he does. You should contact him and fill in the holes.

Yes I saw where he said some info and dates might be missing or inaccurate ... he did a good job regardless.

All the history and information about ProVape and the ProVari is right here on ECF.

If he wants to make it more accurate ... he'll have to do it without me.

I'm too busy vaping ;)

Ok wrong wording. What's this coating called. I could swear there is a name for it. Having a senior moment.

CeraKote - a ceramic based finish used for firearms.

ETA: If the gap bothers you try adding charms.

So maybe this explains my puzzle. I have 4 satin minis, a hot pink zencote and a red zencote. The tank in the photo above, as you can see in that photo, sits nice and flush on the mini. But when screwed on the red or the pink minis there is a visible gap about the same size as in Nick's photo. I even tried several of my other GS Air tanks and even my Ego Ones…same thing. And when any of these tanks are screwed in other mods they're flush.

Really weird that it only happens with the coated ones.

Also remember, until the p3 connection came out on the TI and later models the pin was fixed. Provape was good about consistency but even they had a small variance of about .1 mm per part. Also because of how it was done there is a variance in how deep the board sits in the tube and even though the pin is fixed, it can still compress some over time.

Gaps...I just kinda accepted them from the git go because stuff just never seemed perfect in the vape world, so I made up these "gap filler shims" of varying materials and thicknesses so I can snug my atties gap free, and also to avoid smushing the o-rings in my 510 connectors on my devices. In a perfect world these would be unneccesary, in my world, they are just par for the course...

I use these with one of my old tanks that needs extra space for airflow:

Unfortunately, I don't think they are wide enough to work as gap filler shims.

Great idea! From what are they made?

Scrap plastic, tag board, plastic coated mailer cards, whatever I. Find that seems useable. I use a cheap circle cutter and a hole punch to make them.

I'm still here on ECF... sort of. ;)

oopsie! My ipad has had soem serious gremlins tonight:oops:

LMAO!!!!!!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPS!

What're ya gonna do...... if ya wanna get down?

Yes and yes. Some atomizers added a P3 connection to be used on the P3. I believe the Kabuki and Kayfuns offered the option.

the P3 connection is great with the very limited P3 threaded tanks ... however, the ring and nut fix to use it as 510 is weaker than the 510 on the ProVari 2.5

IMO,that orange oring is the weak spot ... and personally, because of that, I would not convert any more ProVaris to the P3 connection.

Now that ProVape is gone ... there will likely never be RTAs or RDAs produced with the P3 connection.

And da never-to-be-seen-again Nauti. (kisses on yer eyebrow)

There are still some popular mini atomizers that are the width of the tapered top. I think it looks better to be honest with you. A Kayfun Mini V3 on the tapered top is sharp looking. Wife's setup.

I like it, Bronzed One!! I run some like that, but would so much like to be rid of the KFM V3s. They annoy.

The hot pink and red are not ZenKote. ProVape came out with metallic and glossy finishes, but the only ZenKote colors they used were Gun Metal Grey and Gold. ZenKote™ Colors

Thank you, Ms. Celot. My words, you captured from the inside of my brain. :toast:
