I don't have any measurements, but the clear OMG o-rings from HoH on this Kabuki are the loosest rings I have (I have other OMG o-rings but haven't used them yet). Take the bottom off and the glass practically falls off the top piece. Thing is, ALL the o-rings work on my Kabukis ... buna, silicone, OMG ... and none leak. Also, I seem to always have to use a tank wrench regardless. Prolly because I have little concern for over tightening since the wrench works great. My point I guess, based on my limited experience ... the OMG rings MAY ... MIGHT ... COULD BE a different size somehow than the standard black buna and silicone. Thoughts?

EDIT: Only time I've EVER had a Kabuki o-ring issue was when the tanks were brand spanking new and a little difficult to get apart without damage to o-ring or sleeve. After some use, one tank of juice, all o-rings work fine.

Well, there's our problem. If someone needs to have experience with a particular RBA in order to use a device with factory coils, I consider that a design flaw. You are entitled to your opinion though, and your user name is well selected.

Nah. No RBA experience required.

My newer Kabuki is pretty easy to take apart. It's nothing like dealing with an RTA or RBA, at least for me. With that said, mine came with the new O-rings and I keep them juiced up and have zero problems (besides my clumsiness, LOL). If refilling a Kabuki were anything like an RTA mine would be still sitting in its box, I think.

What, exactly, are the "new" orings? Old Buna, Newer Buna, silicon, maybe OMG Orings?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think there are three different oring materials. OMG is a joke, I think (a humorous unofficial brand name kind of thing?). There are Buna rings and silicone rings. But I wanted to be corrected if I'm wrong. This is based on what is on the HOH store site right now- you can buy OMG Buna or OMG Silicone.

Okay Flavor Racks, this is the first one I made. I made 2 of these, on the 2nd one I raised the rails slightly but basically the same. These were made with 3/8" thick pine and 1/4" thick Oak that I bought to build them. The first one I made, I cut everything with a circular saw, after I finished it, I went out and bought a table saw, which made everything a lot easier.

First one.

First one loaded up.

This is a pic of the first one I tried, it was terrible. The steps were not level, and I kept knocking bottles off. :glare:

I guess I did not take a pic of the 2nd one until I had it loaded up.

I think it was about a year and a half ago when I made these.

I agree "OMG" is a tongue in cheek marketing ploy. I thought, a rather obvious one. My question was NOT about material used, but size. I wonder if the available OMG (colored/non-colored) o-rings EITHER buna OR silicone are of a different size in regard to their respective standard "non-OMG" black o-rings that ship with the Kabuki, whether those OEM o-rings be buna or silicone?

The only thing that leads me to believe they MIGHT be a different size is because the Clear OMG o-rings are the loosest of those o-rings I have. Looser than those shipped with the Kabuki, which were buna, and looser than the black silicone ones I bought to replace the buna. The fit of the clear o-rings cause NO leaks, just curious.

Maybe color, or lack of color, has some dimensional bearing in the mfg process, maybe non-black are intentionally dimensionally different by some industry code or something, maybe it comes down to size availability of various colors/non colors. Maybe it's all in my head. Bottom line? ... it doesn't matter ... they work flawlessly.

The Pine Flavor Racks.
I did take a few pics of the first all Pine one I made, but I will just post the pics of the 2nd one. They are basically the same, except the 2nd one is 1/2" wider, because I screwed up. These were made with lumber I got from skids and crates, except for the first shelf, 3/8" thick pine left over from the first racks.

This is clamping of the back rail of the top shelf.

This is clamping of the first riser on the top shelf.

This is the clamping of the first supports to the bottom of the top shelf.

The next 2 are the clamping of the risers to the bottom of the 2nd and 3rd shelf. Cant really see much, because of the extra blocks under the clamps to protect the wood.

Clamping the 3rd shelf.

This shows the clamping of the 2nd shelf.

This is of the last of the supports being clamped.

Supports done.

This shows the gluing of the back feet, I just did these by hand, while the 1st shelf is clamped in position.

The clamping of the 1st shelf.

This is the completed base of the rack.

I had to delete some of the making of the rail posts. :(

Working on the railings.

Railings done.

After staining.

After a coat of Poly, normally I would do 3 coats of Poly, too much of a pain with the railings.

I did the poly coat last night, so it will be a week to fully dry, before I can use it. :)

KAS

I was only allowed to post 20 pics, so I had to delete a few, in order to finish the this post. :glare:

the HOH silicone o-rings, are a bit loose compared to the HoH BUNA. I'm not sure if it's the heat or moisture on the silicone... In my experience, will cause them to warp a bit and the tank to leak after a while.

I picked up an istick pico today from our local vape shop ... and I feel kinda bad about it. Not because I strayed from ProVari. Not because I didn't even need it. I feel bad because the shop gave me a significant discount on the device after discussion I voiced involving sticker shock from their price quote.

When I asked price, was told $75 for the istick kit which includes a melo III mini (that I have no use for). Considering I can routinely find a kit for $40 and less online as well as under $30 for mod only, that is a significant markup. I jawed a bit about that before asking if they had a military discount (I already knew they did ... %10).

The shop manager did some figuring on his calculator and said, "$54.89 out the door ... and I gave you a little more than just a military discount." I took it ... as much to give the shop a little business which I rarely seem to do.

It was a pleasant transaction with smiles, handshaking, thanks and have a nice day pleasantries. But I feel bad about it. I've mentioned I seldom buy anything there and I kind of feel bad about that too. They are never busy and often when I've stopped at random times, I'm the only customer in the shop and maybe the only customer for hours. They're the only shop in town too.

If they go out of business ... for lack of business ... or because I didn't pay their necessary price. I'd feel worse. The shop owner and founder suddenly and unexpectedly passed away about this time last year. He wasn't even 40 years old. His wife, their family and friends have pitched in together to keep the shop open. Likely working for little or no salary in most cases. They're good people and I only wish them the best and success.

So yeah, sometimes I'm a softie and feel bad about this purchase. I'm temped to go back on Monday and buy another pico (solid black one) ... and insist on paying full price ... not because I need it. I might sleep better or something.

The Radius still stands above the rest. The doggystyle RTA on the pico has the melo III mini tip in the pic, but I've since swapped it for a HoH John Doe tip that I like much better. My unbleached Muji cotton arrived today and I rewicked the doggystyle. Little to no break in with Muji. I'm very happy with it ... it's unbleached cotton but I don't see anything that says "organic", so I may be taking a chance but the taste at least is no different from Cotton Bacon V2 or the Coil Master sheets that came with my Coil Master V3 kit. This pico and RTA is a very good grab and go hitter. Heck, the 18650 makes it good anytime ... all day. SXK BB (clone) in the mix. I have an original BB too, purchased once they became available without the F5 routine. Not because I needed another one, the SXK is a wonderful vape ... just so I could sleep better ;)

Signed ... "feeling blessed"

For what it's worth - :2c:
Dan @ HOH told me the top o ring is 013 and the bottom one is 014. That was @ 2 years ago.
Don't shoot the messenger, that's what he told me. I made a actual note of it. Aside from remembering the conversation, I consulted said note before typing this reply.
None of my original o rings have leaked except for the original silicone ones that came with the Ti and that was immediate upon first fill. The Buna never have. I seem to remember Jackie having to replace a set of silicone ones. She's sleeping or I'd ask.
Self life for Buna is 8 - 10 years, silicone - unlimited
