Yep, I know about it but didn't find out until last week when I was checking the condition of the red o-rings on my ProVari mods ... AND ... didn't find any red o-rings on the 2.5 and mini !!!

I've not had to replace a red o-ring yet but have a couple of spares just in case ...

And a helpful hint I got from Brandy at Provape (when there was a Provape) ... was to insert the tips of a small pair of needle nose pliers into the o-ring. Then open the pliers to spread open the inner diameter of the o-ring and then carefully slip it over the 510 pin. Worked like a charm when I had to replace one.

I'll have to try that next time. I used a o ring tool and that worked pretty good. I hope I remember your method.

I said that about the P3 tops when they first hit the market, I saw the new P3 tops as a weak point in the newer generation mods and that's why I held off for more than a year before trying one...

I pay very close attention to how much gap there is when I fit an attie to any P3 topped device, and use plastic shims to take up any extra space to preserve the integrity of the o-ring. Been doing that since before the P3 top was a thing, so it was no biggie for me to just keep on keepin on...
The only P3 I have is my Ti I recently bought from Bill and knew nothing about these o-rings. Still don't really…i looked at the tops of my minis and the Ti and don't see any o-rings…where are they? And should I be buying some?

Enaud I do the plastic shim on some of my minis that refuse to tighten up nicely. I had contacted Bill to find out about replacing my GMZ 510 connection with a P3 because I noticed the tanks screw on better on it. They come to a complete stop on the P3, like on the Jac. I like that. But after Bill's explanation and what you guys are saying I'm not doing it.

The slant top fixed center pin ProVari connections will most likely outlive the mods...I cannot say the same for the P3 connection that ProVape chose to go with. I feel they made a mistake and took a step backwards in relying on an o-ring to support the center pin. Never really liked that design change, if I had my way, my Ti mini would have a slant top 510 connector, and maybe some day, if the chipset ever fails, it will receive a chipset and slant top 510 connector from a donor mod...I have extras just in case for such a scenario...

I dont regret buying the Celtic knot but haven't been using any of my PV3's lately.

Received wonderful vape mail today A Procyon Stealth - I thought I was just buying a black one and was delighted to discover its a Stealth in Mint condition - almost to scared to use it!
Will try and take a pic soon.

This might help:View attachment 752385

The or ring is that little red thing around the Self-Adjusting Center Pin.
I looked closer at my P3 and found that oring. The central portion of the adapter ring on my Ti is screwed in really tight and I never tried to take it off so missed the oring.

Thanks for the image.

The pliers tip is great, a wonderful member here ( he knows who he is :) ) kindly sent me some spare O-rings - which I shared with other Provape fans here in Oz.
But I had problems fitting the new O-ring from the slightly perished one I removed.
Reckon attempt two will have more success :) now to find out what we call Snap pliers here, because I haven't heard of them & I am a Gal with a healthy collection of pliers !
Also where does one buy the plastic Shims???
