In real life Lennon was always a bit flighty and incomprehensible to me (like many artists in the 60's) but at the same time I believed he was the creative juggernaut behind the Beatles. Without Lennon I think the Beatles would have been a good band. McCartney and Harrison were that good. With Lennon, they greatly expanded the musical frontier and were larger than life. And oddly, while Lennon had a great solo career it seemed to pale in comparison to McCartney and the Wings. I don't believe Yoko was a positive influence on Lennon's music. Their last record was destined for flop city had he not been murdered. Sad day.

I'm not entirely sure Yoko was a positive influence on any living being, although they were a weird couple that just sort of "worked" (it seemed like it anyway) but I wish that there were an official agreement by bands everywhere to NOT include their g/f in their music experience, even if the girlfriend has their own band, it's just never good.

I mean, imagine if Nirvana had added Courtney Love to the lineup, I don't THINK that happened (I'm sort of meh on Nirvana) but imagine if she HAD been added?

The contract should be signed in blood, if you ask me.

Marlboro reds. Good Lord! I grew up on those things.
Yeah, you know, studies show a person with IPF that takes up smoking won't die sooner than a non-smoker.... Still, I just can't bring myself to do it.

There was some talk of the Beatles and George Harrison, and that reminded me of this. The first album was fantastic, the 2nd one was good also but with out Roy, it just was not the same.

KAS

And three of them are dead now, no?

Yes they are, I think most of the ones, I like the most are. :(

KAS

There is a story behind the Traveling Wilburys. Family members of the Wilbury clan were woods people that traveled and took up musical jobs wherever they could. Meaning being far distances and out of touch with the others. Many actually became successfully under stage names.

The two or three albums were just some of the Wilburys that came to be together. There are presumed to be many more.

It would be nice if more of the Wilburies would come forward to share a few songs. The Wilburies, to date, definitely showed quality and potential.
