OK, I know we've been down this road before so forgive me for asking again. Where can I source a quality 18490 battery for a P2.5?
This is from @Mooch FB page titled "18350/18500 Safety Grades and Pulse Performance Data"

@Bronze I haven't needed any 18490/18500 in a while so I didn't do much research on them :(
But my thinking
To look at what other batteries @Mooch recommends and try to see if that company makes any 18500 button tops.

If I really had to buy one, I'm would lean towards Efest maybe
I was never a big fan of their batteries but some people swear by them.

Hoping @Mooch will chime in and give his advice

I have been looking for these things to see if they would work :

I have one of those, if you find one, or even are able to make something similar, I have found that sometimes I can't screw the end cap all the way leaving a slight gap, the plus is that it will allow you to use flat top cells, better than not being able to use the ProVari.

The ones at SmokTek are discontinued
The others are magnets...not really comfortable with that
Using a magnet comes with some added risk. If you drop the mod, those magnets are fragile and can break, also if the magnet gets dislodged to the side, if the wrapper was damaged in that area the cell could possibly get shorted out. Personally I have tested using a magnet, but won't use them in my mods, the risk outweighs any benefit to me.

I used the efest years ago before going to AW's. I had no problems with them then, except I realized later that they did not hold as well as the AW's over time.
My Aw's are getting old, and will most likely will go back to the efest's. I vape with less than 10 amps, more like around 5 amps or less, so I wouldn't expect to have a problem with them.

18500 Efest Purple IMR18500 V2 1000mAh High Discharge Button Top found this, I have a few of these and they have been used in my ProVari's and REOs mini's, they seem to hold up fine. I went into using them with an open mind and have no complaints, YMMV
E, so while Efest calls them 18500's and AW calls them 18490's and both are button tops this does not matter? This efest will work in the P2.5?

Thanks for the lead. I missed it somewhere along the way...why is it so difficult to get 18490/18500's these days?

They are a little longer than the AW's, doesn't seem to matter in my ProVari's, but in my ZNA 30, the battery cap won't screw down all the way, it is what it is.

Well, seeing I cannot find them anywhere else I don't have much of a choice do I? Ah yes, nothing like that feel of being bent over. :)

Thanks again for the lead, Bud!!

Bronze, I have worried about the flat top issue for a couple years now, before ProVape even closed I was loading up on cells to be stored for such a scenario, I'm actually tempted to grab a dozen of the purple Efests I linked here, searching for button tops, I found none on several sites, they just seem to have gone the way of the Dodo bird.

What fun would anything be without complications?

I have worked out in my head a hack for the ProVari's, literally hacking off most of the tube, and crafting a wooden box about the size of the RADIUS, the tube will be mounted on one side of it and a battery sled will be on the other side, and hard wired to the tube and positive contact of the board. It might even look nice when I ever do get around to it.

I might try making some adapter rings like shown in the previous post, using a circle cutter and drilling a hole in the center to use the head of a brass brad, cut off short, and put through the disc, then peen the cut end with a small hammer. should take about five minutes to make one of them discs, heck, might could bang out a dozen or so of them if it goes well, brads are like two bucks for a whole bunch of them...
