I mean, how often does anyone look at gutters anyway?Awhile back I mentioned that I had a part of a seamless gutter fall off the north side of my house. After looking a my options on having it replaced, I realized that I should see if I could just repair the section and put it back up. So that is what I have been working on over the last week. I had to get a bit cleaver to restore the front profile, I took a block of wood and cut the shape with a jig saw, then clamped the two halves around the the gutter with a c-clamp. It did a pretty good job at getting the dents out. I also reinforced the spots that got bent with aluminum angle, and rivets. The support brackets were flimsy pieces of junk, (it is no wonder that it fell) so I made new ones out of the angle. Anyway after a bit more caulking it will be ready to go back up. It is not perfect, but considering I paid about a $100.00 in hardware, it will work for now. I wish I would have had it finished this weekend, because it was in the fifties.

As long as they work. I sure wouldn’t want to spend the bucks on a replacement gutter. You know they’re gonna soak you for it.Exactly, maybe if I ever sell the house, there is still a slight bend in the center, but it originally had 6 support brackets it 19 ft, I made 12 and each one will have 2 screws. I am hoping that when I tighten them up it will push it down straight, if not I will put another piece of angle underneath to pull it down.

I witness this behavior on a daily basis, no rhyme or reason as to what time of day it occurs
