What I don't like about USPS is once they say 'package delivered', you are kinda out of luck. A friend bought an expensive item, she was home all day on the expected delivery date. She has 10 yapping yorkies so I don't think she missed it but it said delivered and it was not. They wouldn't do anything about it since their carrier listed it as delivered. She lost a bunch of money. That was about 8 years ago so maybe their policy has changed.

@rosesense, yep I think 8 years ago if a package was missed, maybe the only recourse was to file an insurance claim ... if the package was insured. Thing is now days, most all if not entirely all the packages are scanned when they are delivered. I think they may have scanned back then too, but there's more information about the package available today or they better use the info anyway.

Recently I expected a USPS package delivery and online tracking showed Delivered. When the mail person drove down the street, I stopped them and talked to them about it. She said that she could call into her supervisor with the tracking number and get specific address information since the package was scanned. Turns out she'd left my package at another address way down the street. She later said when she went back to retrieve it, the guy there was standing in the yard with my package and waiting for her to come back by to get it LOL.

Can't say I prefer one carrier over another. Had problems of one sort or another with each. Just glad I'm retired and can keep a close eye on things from home.

Not to single one carrier out but just the latest problem was last week when I expected 27 pounds of dog food from Chewy to be delivered by FedEx. I just happened to be out in the yard when FedEx came down the street. At least they got the street part right. Most common mistake with UPS is they get the house number right but are one street off. Anyway, FedEx was just about to deliver my package one door down and across the street. I intercepted them. Don't think they must pay much attention to numbers on the mailbox. Just a guess, but thinking maybe they rely on SatNav data or some kind of map app to pinpoint a delivery location once they scan an address into their tracking device. Probably misread the little marker icon on his digital map maybe.

One thing I will say about USPS, they deliver on Sunday here, if Sunday falls within the Amazon Prime delivery promise. FedEx or UPS delivery on Sunday? ... not going to happen.
Our weekday USPS guy is awesome. Gets it right every time and makes the extra effort to make sure he has it right. The weekend people suck...bad! It's hit or miss with them. They couldn't find their behinds with both hands and an assmap.

    Bummer!

I rented a PO Box in a city twenty miles away (different zip code) because delivery here was hit or miss and being out here in the who knows where there is a bit of mail theft. Being an old guy my meds come from an insurance company mail order pharmacy, the big white envelope is a dead give away. While I would probably be better off if they got stolen or mis-delivered, I don't have the guts to try it. Anything of value goes to the PO Box.

Anyone going to be watching the draft? @DPLongo22 you need a player or two...

    Go Eagles!!

Oh, yes still use a ProVari with a Kayfun or Kabuki on it.:nun:

I'll be watching to see who the Cardinals pick. No, wait - they bolted out of here. So I'll keep an eye on the Rams' choices. #%$*&^, they left too.

Somehow the bloom has sorta gone away for NFL things. :)

Half-time at the draft? I generally skip the half-time show, but I might make an exception.

I usually skip the draft. It's been a few decades since my team had a good one (all around). Now they've turned it into a circus anyway.

Well BCF said my order was shipped FedEx, because it was a ground only shipment, indicating that USPS does not have that.:?: I don't think that is true, supposedly if it was not for some of the flavors I ordered, I could have chosen USPS. I know I have ordered stuff from wizard labs, with the same restrictions, and been able to still choose USPS. I guess from now on if it has those restrictions, I will just use wizard. I have no issues with FedEx or UPS for business to business shipping, we use them all the time at work. I just don't want them involved in anything coming to my house, if I can avoid it. For me it is more for the reason that they are too quick, and try to make the delivery's too early when I am not home. :|

Your Post Office delivers on Sunday? How did you swing THAT? Our Post Office is open for two hours on Saturday (9:30-11:30) and closes on the weekdays at 4PM. Yes, 4PM and their clock is 3 minutes fast!
