I have occular lenses in both my eyes, which I believe is what @Zazie is saying. Before they put them in, they zapped the cataracts. I did not understand it at the time, other than it was what this wahzoo doctor said was needed.
But, since then, I have come to understand that cataracts are "cloudy" spots that don't move and "floaters" do move in a floaty way.
Maybe someone knows more.

I remember having a couple floaters once. They went away on their own. IDK though, my eyes are terrible, I have astigmatism (bad in one) I am shortsighted, and am now getting nearsighted on top of it. Also, my night blindness seems to be getting worse.
Eye docs were all like (as a kid for while my eyes degenerated really fast, there) "You are going to be blind someday." Oh, I also had a lazy eye which drifted off so I couldn't focus. I found this out during tennis I was horrible at it and my parents asked "How come you can't hit the ball?" And I said "I don't know which one to hit." So, further questioning meant I got to go to the eye doctor to train my eyes to focus. It still drifts of occasionally when I am super tired. Anyway my eye docs were like "You should learn braille" and I was like, "I think the time to do that is when I'm blind."
Thanks to my peripheral neuropathy I'm not sure I COULD. And I do kind of fear going blind in my old age here is hoping NOT. Heh. I need to see the eye doctor again, too.
Day 3 of THYROID going MAGICALLY. I have talked to multiple family members and they are all like "You sound so FOCUSED. Calm. Etc." maybe I am taking slower or not interrupting or something.
Anyway my mommy called and we talked for over an hour and she was actually very sweet. Now I feel kind of bad. Anyway, I asked her which kid she "forgot" and she was like, "Yes, we are all trying to figure that out but all I know is that it was NOT your older brother because I guess I told them to call HIM." I was like, "Dang, I had money riding on it being me." She was like, "Dear, I think you are the child I would be LEAST likely to forget about."
It was a uh, very lovely backhanded complement. LOL.
Anyway she had this long explanation about Lyme disease although there is this illness the elderly can get called "Transient Global Amnesia" which you usually only get once but who knows. I think she just has to have "something" and it's not like abx are gonna kill her, and she was tromping around the woods with my brother etc.
So whatever works. I did ask her if she was gonna slow down on the traveling and she said she cancelled her Morocco trip in December because she didn't know what would have happened if she had that thing happen and arrived in Morocco in that state and she has decided to not travel outside of the country without someone she knows to take care of her or whatnot.
So she's doing okay. She was funny, she kept saying she had to go and then not. But I did get to say, "Mom I love you SO much and I'm glad you are okay." As a teen, I would have sworn left, right and center those words would NEVER exit my mouth.
She also told me, when I told her about my lithium tremor, "I am so glad. I always use to watch you with that tremor and feel so sorry for you because it looked like doing things was SO hard."
IDK why everyone's all like that NOW. The time to sympathized would have been, like DURING it, when I was actually having to DEAL with it. I guess folks don't want to say stuff in the moment or whatever.
But it was nice.

Indeed. That is a chore (it's not really a chore, I guess, but whatever, a thing) best NOT left undone for too long. Really. I do not understand wives who like "put out' in that manner and then never again afterward and they must be really good fakers to do that, and it's unfortunate for everyone and it just sucks.
I'm not worried about that one, I have dentures. This means no teeth. This means... I BELIEVE I shall not proceed any further. LOL.

The eye is filled with vitreous humor. As we age, some of that gets more liquid and some stays more solid. Floaters are those solid bits drifting about in the liquid portion. They are usually nothing more than a nuisance but can be a symptom of a more serious condition, such as retinal detachment. That's why, if a lot of floaters suddenly appear in your eye(s), you should see an ophthalmologist.
Cataracts are cloudy areas in the lens of the eye. When they compromise vision to an intolerable degree, the natural lens can be removed and replaced with an artificial one (an introcular lens). Sometimes (rarely), the capsule that contains the lens can thicken after cataract surgery, preventing light from entering the capsure and thus interfering with vision. That's when a laser is deployed to zap a small hole in the capsule to allow light to enter again. If the problems occurs, it generally happens within two years of the initial cataract surgery.

Last year I was eating a lot of these beans, after a while they stopped affecting me that way. I have not made them in a long time though, so that will most likely happen with this batch.
