@Bronze want you to know I had 2 days that were fine, nice, but nothing drastic happened.

Well, I did forget my cellphone at work today, and I STILL made it home without google maps, like no sweat. Well it was not my usual route and I was starting to get nervous and stuff but then I came across the one highway in the area, and I knew what town I lived in so I headed there, and it was exciting in an adventurous way.

There is a PERMANENT river that runs along my route too and fro from work. Like, you'd think "Anna will get over it." BUT ANNA WON'T.

Tucson scars you in many ways, and water is one of them.

LOL.

Today I got lost...like really lost in the woods. I took my gravel bike for a ride and checked out some newly opened trails that are single tracks, narrow , twisty and up & down a lot big steep dips and trees you got to go over, also some really steep drop offs from the skinny trail. I got mixed up out there and it was late afternoon, I kept coming across things that looked familiar but could not find the place that I went off the greenway to get there. I was getting more and more anxious that I was really lost and was going to get stuck out there when the sun went down. When I finally ran into a couple of female cyclists they told me I was about four or so miles from where I needed to be:eek: It was a long ride out because this off road trail stuff is a lot more exerting than riding the tarmac lol. All in all it was a fun adventure and I look forward to exploring more of these single track trails...

You know how you look back on your life and cringe about things you did which might have turned out really awful but which didn't?
You reminded me of one (but not all LOL.)
I frequently went to Phoenix on business trips with customers. Sometimes I needed to go earlier than they to set up their visit. So, one time I decided to check out the desert, which I had very little experience with. Took my rental car out there and went for a short walk. Not far at all. Just loved the saguaro. I turned around to get back to my car, and suddenly realized that every direction was identical. No left no right no forward no backward. All directions looked exactly alike.
This was before today's cell phones and GPS.
I'm honestly not sure how I got back to my rental car.

I got lost in the woods when I was a lot younger, I panicked , and started to run...then I got ahold of myself and just stopped, and tried really hard to just think. Hard to do with your head swimming in adrenalin. That ride the other day was a similar feeling...everything looked the same every turn I took. Now that I know the layout I know that wont happen again, but I got to say, my throat was dry, and my heart was pounding for a little while out there...your experience in the desert, that could have ended in a bad way. A buddy of mine who I had skydived with several times got lost and injured out in Moab, wound up becoming a missing person, and wasn't found for several months after his disappearance. He was found less than a quarter mile from his trailer where he took refuge behind a boulder and succumbed to his injuries and the elements...

This is one of those oldies bands that I always loved, I think it was 1999 new years eve that I saw them live. It was a great show, I guess I kind of want to relive it a bit.

Edit: Okay not really a very good set of clips, but it still brings back memories. :|
