Here is a song about Wed. And well, I think it perfectly exemplifies Wed. No one sings (I checked) it's a Banjo and Guitar and they appear to be married (their players anyway.)

It's not DISTURBING exactly but it's kinda like when you are on autopilot. I could do with more autopilot.

I don't really know why I was thinking about this tune this morning. Thanksgiving was good. My brother had us outside, he had a tent set up, took everyone temp's etc. It was a bit short, 4 1/2 hours.

I finally have a diagnosis of what is going on with my right eye, evidently the eye pressure is too high, which is causing my blurred vision. Originally he thought it was due to high blood pressure, but that is under control now. I have the first known case of Glaucoma in my family. I have been prescribed a product called Rocklatan. I don't really know how long I am going to be able to afford this stuff. After some discussion with the doc and my pharmacy, I got a discount on it but it was still $200.00 for a 2.5 ML bottle.

I had a bad case of glaucoma and the eye doc shot three or for holes somewhere in the eye with a laser. That, three different drops, and about six weeks resolved the issue. The drops were expensive (to me), but I'm pretty sure the total for all was under $200.00. I guess all cases were different.

By the way, Medicare did quite well except for the prescriptions.

About 15 years ago I became diabetic, well, I was diabetic prior to that but didn't really know it. Eye issues are a by-product of that. Anyway, the insulin, with insurance is $350 a month. Because I am fairly disabled from the military, the VA covers a lot. When some VA doc said that he would get the VA to provide the insulin, I was extremely happy. My disabilities for the military don't include diabetes treatments, but hey, the VA providing my meds has been a boon. I don't question it.

I have a video appointment here in Colorado in 2 weeks so the VA can continue servicing my prescriptions. I hope it continues. Today, I unpacked all my meds...I was surprised how much space it all takes.

Trump WAS going to look into why U.S. meds are so much more expensive than EU/UK/Canadian meds. I guess that won't happen now.

It is expensive to get old.

He did mention the possibility of surgery, but never said anything about the use of lasers.

I had laser surgery for glaucoma. It did not seem to be a big deal medically. I eventually got implants. I think I paid, out of pocket, about $700 per eye for the implants. It was done by civilian doctor because the VA did not have an eye surgeon in Arizona.

As to military disability and VA support, I think my disability percentage is high enough that the VA takes care of it.

I do have a lot of limitations that pulls down my quality of life.
