unfortunately i don't listen or try to discover new music like i used to which is a shame.
also today the "good" music is kind of hidden behind the mainstream one.
i remember when radios/TVs were filled with matallica,guns and roses,nirvana ,pearl jam,sound garden etc;that period.
any how, sometimes i stumble upon some new music:
they're a nice,mostly guitar instrumental band.

Finally got around to checking this out and I'm glad I did. Her mastery of looping is impressive. I wasn't as impressed with her playing since it seemed way too repetitive. But I was stunned was when she began to sing. I'm not sure I've ever heard emotions so clearly expressed. Her best instrument, by far, is her voice.
I wanted to see more and found another of her videos -much like this- of "Notion". Even wearing headphones, I'm not sure I understood a single word she sang. But the wonderful part is that I didn't need to. I'm pretty much in shock at how clearly she displayed what she was feeling as she sang.
This popped up last night, could not watch it until tonight, I really enjoyed it, and yes it is 4 hours long.

Can the Provari P3 and Classic (the actual Classic, not the slant top 2.5s) use button top or flat top batts? And if they can use button tops, are flat tops actually preferred?

I use both in both, FWIW. v2.5 and before are buttons only. I haven't tried a button in the Radius but it would probably work (IF it fits). Got flats.
Thanks. Both the P3 and the Classic owners manual only says this about batteries.
"The ProVari Classic is compatible with flat top batteries."

Since neither manual mentions button tops at all, it leaves me wondering about using button tops. Did Provape just assume we'd know button tops are OK because we used them in our V2s and V2.5s and left out any mention of them in the P3 & Classic manual. Or are they trying to say to only use flat top batteries because there's no mention of button tops. Ugh!
EDIT: OOPS! DP, you and I must have been typing at the same time. I didn't see your post until I posted mine.
Compatible with flat tops. What isn't said "compatible with button tops" or "compatible with both button and flat top batteries", leads me to believe Provari designed the space in the battery compartment and how the chip is held into place to fit only flat tops going forward.
Getting the battery in a Radius is a tight fit. Cannot imagine button tops fitting.
In my possibly wrong opinion, you're looking at it exactly opposite. The button top was needed to include polarity protection in the earlier Provaris. Their internal positive connection was made with a small slot the size of the button on the top. The negative (bottom) side of the battery was flat and would not make contact with that recessed terminal. So if you put in a battery backwards no contact would be made and thus no danger. But a flat top battery is also too big to fit into that recess made for the battery's button. So it was a clever way of not having to program reverse battery protection into the board but when flat tops became popular the "only button tops" warnings came into play. Not because of any danger, but simply that they wouldn't be able to make the connection and would not power the mod.
The internals of a button top and a flat top battery are exactly the same. The difference is that the button sticking up makes those styles just a touch longer. So if you're going to use a button top in a later mod, just be sure that you don't have to use Hulk strength to get the cap screwed down. If it fits without problems, it works. But don't try and force things regardless of how the battery is located and held in place.
